It's been a while now my fellow B&W appreciators since I dropped something here. Time seems to fly, at least when you get older.
A big LOL here with a little bit of tears in it. Some of you might know what I mean ;).
Anyways, I had some time to kill today while waiting for a shopping cart.
🛒
Whoever might be interested why that was, I will explain it a little further in my tomorrows post.
See how I snuck a little advertisement for myself in here? Another LOL on that occasion.
So while waiting I discovered some tiny movement on the ground.
With my eagle eyes I spotted ants. You know, those tiny ants, not the big ones.
I think it is Tapinoma sessile, the ant that when you squeeze it smells like coconut and rum, no kidding.
There was a dead one among them and some gathered around the body dragging it around.
Hmmmmm thinking about the coconut rum smell I know why lol.
Anyways, I was still waiting and grabbed my smartphone to crawl around on the floor like a person that just escaped psychiatry.
🤪
Just to take pics that I can share with you.
People waiting with me seemed confused. In their eyes I could read that some where thinking about calling police or an ambulance.
Luckily they didn't. Might have also been because they got a cart.
🛒
Soooooooooooo, I took a couple pics, macros as you can see.
Great macros taken with the Huawei, I mean those ants are like 1⁄16 to 1⁄8 inches or 1.5 to 3 mm small.
And I thought most of them are naturally B&W kinda.
I think we can generously ignore the little brownish in two of the pictures ;).
You can praise me in the comments, please do lol.
While pressing the button click click click I thought about my Italian lesson on Duolingo. Animals was the topic and I learned that "la formica" is ant in Italian.
🤓
See, now you learned some more besides that they have this awesome smell. Not that I can confirm it, if I would have smelled them people might have finally called an ambulance.
The main psychiatry is not too far away from where I live.
Anyways, I got a cart and this is where I leave you with my ant shots now.
🐜
Masterpiece ant shots are going to be dropped for todays or tomorrows #monomad challenge.
Please drop a comment and make me believe those are tiny masterpieces, the ants certainly are.
They play a very important role in nature, are highly social and you should not kill them.
If you like the smell of coconuts and rum get a drink.
