― Jane Austen, Northanger Abbey
Hi folks. The weekend is here and we have some really personal topics this time in the #weekend-engagemet brought to us by @galenkp I would like to tell you about my favorite activity that I love doing by myself.
I am a very private person. I do not like it when people meddle into my affairs. It annoys me. Maybe, because of this, I have had fun in my own company a lot. I have had the time to focus on myself. In this time of focus, I have been able to explore a lot about myself. My favorite activity that I love doing by myself is reading. I love reading books of different sorts more than anything.
I can give you so many reasons to tell you why this is my favorite activity. One of the major ones is that it is an escape for me. Some times the reality becomes so harsh that we just want an escape from it. What better than a book to do that? I read novels and self help books. I am currently reading The Brief History Of Time by Stephen Hawking. It takes a few pages for me to dive into the book and this one is taking more than a few to be honest with you.
I mostly give away my books after I finish reading them to my favorite people only. I am willing to establish a study room or a library in my home soon. I do not have one now.
I have been reading books since the age of 15. It has made me well versed and well articulated when it comes to putting forth my arguments in front of people. It goes without saying that books are the close friends of private people like me.
What do you do when you are alone or what is your favorite activity? Feel free to participate in the #weekend-engagement.
Thanks for reading. Have a blissful weekend my friends.
