The water tank was due for washing since December last year. The plumber who helped clean it the previous time was asked to do it again, but he kept disappointing us with the same phrase: "I will come."
Today, I had enough of the disappointment. I told myself, We must wash this tank today, whether the plumber comes or not! I was determined.
I picked up my phone and called two friends. "Guys, let's wash this water tank," I said to them. Without hesitation, they agreed to assist, and together, we got it done using the following steps:

Tools Needed:
Clean soft sponge or soft brush
Small bucket (for draining excess water)
Chlorine or Aquatabs (for water treatment after washing)
Herramientas necesarias:
Esponja suave limpia o cepillo suave
Cubo pequeño (para escurrir el exceso de agua)
Cloro o Aquatabs (para el tratamiento del agua después del lavado)
Steps to Wash a Water Tank:
1 . Open the water filter section instead of cutting or removing the supply pipe (the pipe that distributes water to different outlets).
2 . If the tank is already filled, drain out some water through the filter section.
3 . Use a ladder to enter the tank, wash the interior thoroughly, and drain out the dirty water.
4 . Step out of the tank, pump in more water, and let it rinse the tank for about five minutes. Drain the rinse water through the filter section.
5 . Add chlorine or Aquatabs to the tank, cover it, and pump in fresh water.
Congratulations! You have successfully washed your water tank by yourself, without spending money or enduring disappointment from a plumber.
Pasos para lavar un depósito de agua:
1 . Abra la sección del filtro de agua en lugar de cortar o retirar la tubería de suministro (la tubería que distribuye el agua a las diferentes salidas).
