For three and a half years, I have been living happily with my family in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Today I will leave in this beautiful community, a memory of my celebrations since I arrived in this beautiful country, until my last birthday, celebrated just a month ago.
Desde hace tres años y medio, estoy viviendo felizmente con mi familia en Buenos Aires, Argentina. Hoy dejaré en esta hermosa comunidad, un recuerdo de mis celebraciones desde que llegué a este hermoso país, hasta mi último cumpleaños, celebrado hace solo un mes.
In the year 2021, my daughter and I arrived at the Ezeiza airport to meet my older children. A December, by the way, when there were still restrictions due to the pandemic that hit us for a time that seemed eternal. So strong was that time, that we suffered a lot to leave Venezuela, due to the closure and international protocols. It was such that we were able to bring a small suitcase and our memories. But the most important thing was that we were reunited after seven years without being able to hug each other. My birthday that year was celebrated at home, the day my children gave me an engagement ring. To never separate us again in life.
En el año 2021, arribamos mi hija y yo, al aeropuerto de Ezeiza, para reencontrarnos con mis hijos mayores. Un diciembre, por cierto, en que aún existían restricciones por la pandemia que nos azotó por un tiempo que parecía, eterno. Tan fuerte fue esa época, que sufrimos mucho para salir de Venezuela, debido el cierre y los protocolos internacionales. Fue tal, que pudimos traer una pequeña maleta de mano, y nuestros recuerdos. Pero lo más importante, fue que nos reunimos después de siete años sin podernos abrazar. Mi cumpleaños de ese año, fue celebrado en casa, día en que mis hijos me regalaron un anillo de compromiso. Para nunca volver a separarnos en la vida.
I live here with my four children, two boys and two girls. The oldest is my niece, whom I love like my children. The following year, they agreed and took me to a restaurant, which is on the heights of the city of Buenos Aires. It was a beautiful afternoon. There was cake, snacks, wine, cocktails, and much more. In fact, I made a nice post.
Now, on this new birthday of 2024, my children prepared a very nice surprise for me. I will tell you a little bit about the beautiful moments they made me spend. I am very grateful to them. I felt like I was turning 20 years old.
Aquí vivo con mis cuatro hijos, dos varones y dos niñas. La mayor es mi sobrina, a quien amo como a mis hijos. El siguiente año, se pusieron de acuerdo y me llevaron a un restaurante, que está a las alturas de la ciudad de Buenos Aires. Fue una hermosa tarde. Hubo pastel, merienda, vinos, cocteles, y mucho más. De hecho, hice una linda publicación.
Ahora, en este nuevo cumpleaños del 2024,mis hijos, me prepararon una sorpresa muy linda. Le contaré un poco acerca de los momentos bonitos que me hicieron pasar. Les estoy muy agradecida. Me sentí como si estuviera cumpliendo 20 años.
They reserved the space of a restaurant where their menu is purely Venezuelan gastronomy.
Venezuelan cuisine. It is located near the embassy of my country. There they offer traditional dishes, paprika juice with lemon, and desserts such as quesillo and tres leches cake.
It turns out that since it was Sunday, that day they prepare boiled beef, or mondongo. So, as I love a boiled beef or chicken soup, chicken, cruzado, etc., I was more than pleased with it. In addition, with a good portion of our beloved tequeños with their respective guasacaca, to accompany them.
Reservaron los espacios de un restaurante donde su menú es netamente
de gastronomía venezolana. Queda cera de la embajada de mi país. Allí te ofrecen los platos de tradición, jugo de papelón con limón, y postres como el quesillo y la torta, tres leches.
Resulta que como era día domingo, ese día preparan el hervido de res, o el mondongo. Entonces, como a mi me fascina un hervido o sopa de res, gallina, cruzado, etc. pues fui más que complacida de ello. Además, con una buena ración de nuestros amados tequeños con sur respectiva guasacaca, para acompañarlos.
As you can see, that boiled was, in its right point of seasoning, it was included with the soup, an arepa, so I did what I like the most. I made crumbs inside the plate with soup. After the boiled, a good glass of guarapo de papelón with lemon.
Then the music started, everything was great and we enjoyed singing our joropos and passages. Even the owner of the place dedicated two songs to me, by the way, he sings beautifully.
Como pueden observar, ese hervido estaba, en su justo punto de sazón, estaba incluido con la sopa, una arepa, así que hice lo que más me gusta. La hice migas dentro del plato con sopa. Luego del hervido, un buen vaso de guarapo de papelón con limón.
Enseguida, comenzó la música, todo estuvo genial y disfrutamos cantando nuestros joropos y pasajes. Hasta el dueño del local me dedicó dos canciones, por cierto, canta precioso.
Then, my beautiful niece gave me a beautiful scarf, to keep my neck warm in the cold days that are coming. The truth is, I loved that beautiful detail, with a balloon and everything.
When the moment of the gift was over, we continued singing, when suddenly, the local man came and put me "Tremenda torta de tres leches in the center of the table," This was great. First year in this country and my cake was an individual cake and a gathering at home enjoying a deliciously homemade meal. Second year, I was taken to the 30+ story building to celebrate with a big cake. And this year 2024, in the best Venezuelan style. That was very beautiful to me and the only letter I give to this, is "Amor del bueno."
Seguidamente, mi bella sobrina me regaló una hermosa bufanda, para que me abrigue el cuello en los días fríos que se acercan. La verdad es, que me encantó ese hermoso detalle, con un globo y todo.
Terminando el momento del regalo, seguimos cantando, cuando de pronto, viene el señor de local y me coloca "Tremenda torta de tres leches en el centro de la mesa," Esto fue bárbaro. Primer año en este país y mi torta fue una tarta individual y una reunión en casa disfrutando de una comida deliciosamente casera. Segundo año, me llevaron al edificio de más de 30 pisos a celebrar con una gran torta. Y este año 2024, al mejor estilo venezolano. Eso estuvo muy hermoso para mí y la única letra que le doy a esto, es "Amor del bueno."
I was able to cut that giant cake, but at the same time I wondered if it could be cut in pieces, because this type of cake is very moist. I was only able to give it the first slice, the rest was taken care of by the restaurant staff.
He podido picar esa torta gigante, pero, al mismo instante, me preguntaba si se podría picar en trozos, pues ese tipo de torta es muy húmeda. Solo pude darle el primer corte, del resto se encargaron los del restaurante.
It is because of all the beautiful things I felt that afternoon of May 26, that I dared to write this summary of my birthday memories in Buenos Aires and especially this, which is the 70th. My love to all of you.
