En Argentina, resido. A este país, agradezco ese gran apoyo que brinda a los venezolanos que acá vivimos, recibiendo el calor y el saludo del día a día, ese que todo migrante necesita, sumado al espaldarazo que demuestra, el cariño de su gente. A la comunidad @hiveargentina, por permitirme, a través de esta Iniciativa, contar una historia que los argentinos llevan consigo desde hace muchos años.
Casualmente, el día domingo estuve de visita en uno de los lugares emblemáticos de Buenos Aires,para todo porteño. Es el Barrio de “Caminito”, o el “Camino de la Boca”. Les presentaré mi experiencia en esta visita y la relación que tiene con los inmigrantes.
- I live in Argentina. I thank this country for the great support it offers to the Venezuelans who live here, receiving the warmth and greeting day by day; that which every migrant needs, added to the support shown by the affection of its people. I thank and the @hiveargentina community for allowing me, through this initiative, to tell a story that Argentines have been carrying with them for many years.
Coincidentally, on Sunday I was visiting one of the emblematic of Buenos Aires, places for every porteño. It is the “Caminito” neighborhood, or the “Camino de la Boca”. I will present you my experience in this visit and the relationship it has with the immigrants.
Mi homenaje al inmigrante, inicia de esta manera, pues como migrante, experimento lo que tal vez vivieron una vez, hace unos años, las familias provenientes de Europa, que huían de los regímenes dictatoriales y las guerras en sus países de origen. Esa misma Argentina que cobijó a miles de inmigrantes, y que hoy, ha hecho lo mismo con cientos de compatriotas venezolanos, que por la usurpación, la tiranía y otros adjetivos que obviaré y son ya muy conocidos, tuvimos que salir de nuestras casas, para gestionar el sustento a nuestras familias.
- My homage to the immigrant, begins in this way, because as a migrant, I experience what perhaps once lived, a few years ago, families from Europe, fleeing dictatorial regimes and wars in their countries of origin. That same Argentina that sheltered thousands of immigrants, and that today, has done the same with hundreds of Venezuelan compatriots, that due to usurpation, tyranny and other adjectives that I will obviate and are already well known, we had to leave our homes, to manage the sustenance of our families.
En “Caminito”, durante el siglo 19, por ese gran muelle, llegaron los inmigrantes, en barcos provenientes de Europa, sobre todo Italianos. De allí las costumbres y adaptaciones en todo lo que tiene que ver con su cultura y sobre todo la gastronomía. También los alemanes, contribuyeron en su momento con parte importante de su cultura musical, como es el Bandoneón, instrumento musical, que en barcos viajó miles de millas náuticas, acompañando a los viajeros en sus tristezas y dándoles ánimos para afrontar destinos inciertos. Finalmente, llegaron a Buenos Aires, específicamente en este barrio de Caminito, a través del muelle. Ellos se instalaron en esos casuchos de pocos metros, construidos uno sobre otro, para poder sobrevivir y comenzar su nueva experiencia de vida. Siendo ese instrumento su fiel compañero, además de toda una vida embalada en sendas maletas con sellos que los identificaba.
Por ello, la importancia y valor que reviste para la Argentina, este barrio. Lugar donde los inmigrantes decidieron establecerse y echar sus raíces. Motivo por el cual, se convierte, para los turistas y residentes, en una visita obligada, pues conocerán el lugar donde llegaron los inmigrantes del viejo continente a Buenos Aires.
- In “Caminito”, during the 19th century, immigrants arrived on ships coming from Europe, especially Italians, through this great pier. From there the customs and adaptations in everything that has to do with their culture and especially the gastronomy. The Germans also contributed an important part of their musical culture, such as the Bandoneon, a musical instrument that traveled thousands of nautical miles in ships, accompanying travelers in their sadness and giving them encouragement to face uncertain destinations. Finally, they arrived in Buenos Aires, specifically in this neighborhood of Caminito, through the pier. They settled in those little houses of a few meters, built one on top of the other, in order to survive and start their new life experience. This instrument was their faithful companion, as well as a whole life packed in suitcases with stamps that identified them.
That is why this neighborhood is so important and valuable for Argentina. A place where the immigrants decided to settle down and put down their roots. For this reason, it becomes, for tourists and residents, a must visit, because they will know the place where the immigrants from the old continent arrived in Buenos Aires.
A mediados del siglo XIX y principios del siglo XX, con la llegada de los inmigrantes, se construyeron los llamados conventillos, o viviendas hechas con chapa y madera, las familias decidieron establecerse en ese lugar cercano al puerto. Los conventillos o casas de habitación eran muy pequeños y apenas si cabían dos o tres para pintarlas, las familias, pedían a los comerciantes, las pinturas recibiendo lo que sobraba. Es por esta razón que el barrio de Caminito es multicolor, quedando así, como un recuerdo de aquel triste pasado.
En la siguiente imagen, podemos notar, el interior de cada cuartito, solo un espacio y el resto debía ser adaptado a cada familia. Allí podemos ver, cada detalle y con ellos, las costumbres y hasta el bandoneón, que no podía faltar, como compañero inseparable de viajes, de algunos inmigrantes, por lo que también en Argentina se adoptó. Tenemos, entre otros, al maestro Astor Piazzolla, y Aníbal Troilo, consagrados compositores.
- In the mid-nineteenth century and early twentieth century, with the arrival of immigrants, the so-called conventillos, or houses made of sheet metal and wood, were built, families decided to settle in that place near the port. The tenements or tenement houses were very small and there was barely room for two or three to paint them, the families asked the merchants for the paints, receiving what was left over. It is for this reason that the neighborhood of Caminito is multicolored, thus remaining as a reminder of that sad past.
In the following image, we can see the interior of each room, only one space and the rest had to be adapted to each family. There we can see, every detail and with them, the customs and even the bandoneon, which could not be missing, as an inseparable travel companion, of some immigrants, so it was also adopted in Argentina. We have, among others, the master Astor Piazzolla, and Aníbal Troilo, acclaimed composers.
Para mí, ha sido un gran placer, el haber descrito, lo que significa para la Argentina, la migración. Asimismo, el país hasta se vio favorecido porque su población se acrecentó, al haber recibido a tantas familias provenientes de Europa. Esto los indujo a legalizar esta situación, para favorecer a todos los que por una u otra razón tuvieron que establecerse. Desde esta oleada de migrantes, no había ocurrido otra igual.
Ahora, en pleno siglo XXI, se presenta la diáspora de venezolanos, que por el motivo ya descrito, migramos a este país, y que, afortunadamente, no somos tantos, pues tal vez la situación no hubiese sido la misma que hoy tenemos.
Por esta razón, el título de mi publicación, señala que, solo fuimos seis migrantes más, en Argentina. Debo decir con mucho orgullo, que llegamos al mejor país y fuimos recibidos como un hermano más. Le aseguro a todos los argentinos, que de volver a nuestras tierras, ustedes tendrán, como siempre ha sido, las puertas de Venezuela a su total disposición. Gracias por recibirnos y permitirnos laborar responsablemente, para poder enviar el sustento a nuestras familias. ¡Gracias, gracias Argentina!
- For me, it has been a great pleasure to have described what migration means for Argentina. Likewise, the country was even favored because its population increased, having received so many families coming from Europe. This induced them to legalize this situation, in order to favor all those who for one reason or another had to settle down. Since this wave of migrants, there has not been another one like it.
Now, in the 21st century, there is a diaspora of Venezuelans, who for the reasons already described, migrated to this country, and fortunately, there are not so many of us, because perhaps the situation would not have been the same as it is today.
For this reason, the title of my publication states that there were only six more migrants in Argentina. I must say with great pride that we arrived in the best country and were received as one more brother. I assure all Argentines that if you return to our lands, you will have, as it has always been, the doors of Venezuela at your complete disposal. Thank you for receiving us and allowing us to work responsibly, in order to be able to send sustenance to our families. Thank you, thank you Argentina!
