Привіт! Кожен українець знає, що Акт проголошення Незалежності прийнято 24 серпня 1991 року. Монета Незалежність присвячена цій події, а саме, 5 річниці й введена в обіг 1 серпня.
Вага виробу складає 31.1 г, а розмір — 39 мм. Для допису “Серія монет “Відродження української державності”: Незалежність, монета номіналом 2 млн карбованців, срібло, 1997 рік” використано 2 світлини з офіційної сторінки сайту Національного банку України. Загалом було виготовлено 10 тисяч монет. Виріб має рифлений гурт.
Реверс монети. Назва нанесена угорі, а внизу — рік проголошення Акту. В центі зображено дівчину з вінком та гілкою калини в руках. Поруч нанесена карта країни, а над нею видніється прапор.
Лицьова сторона. У верхній частині нанесено напис Україна, внизу — карбованців. Центральну частину відділяє намисто. Основну частину займають гілки калини, а між ними — Герб. Вище — рік карбування, внизу — 2 мільйони. Проба та назва металу вказані під Гербом.

Greetings! Every Ukrainian knows that the Act of Proclamation of Independence was adopted on August 24, 1991. The Independence coin is dedicated to this event, namely, the 5th anniversary and was put into circulation on August 1.
The weight of the product is 31.1 g, and the size is 39 mm. 2 photos from the official website of the National Bank of Ukraine. A total of 10,000 coins were produced. The product has a ribbed band.
The reverse of the coin. The name is written at the top, and at the bottom - the year of the Act's promulgation. The cent depicts a girl with a wreath and a viburnum branch in her hands. A map of the country is drawn next to it, and a flag can be seen above it.
Front side. In the upper part, the inscription Ukraine is applied, at the bottom - karbovants. The central part is separated by a necklace. The main part is occupied by viburnum branches, and between them is the Coat of Arms. Above is the minting year, below is 2 million. The type and name of the metal are indicated under the Coat of Arms.
