Beautiful day on the week in Splinterlands,
The building of my team with magic and range warriors has improved rapidly since the beginning of the year.
The battle review on the weekly basis has changed my plan, selecting the warriors according to the rulesets.
Grauzral is one of the archer I fought, it will be fun to see in action in order to access the value of this warrior in a high ranking battle.
In this combat, magic and archer warriors developed a nice combination of abilities to strengthen their positions and secure his victory.
One bad judgment in the process of selection of your cards can lead to failure of one's entire strategy.

Rule in the Arena
All melee units have the highest number of life point in the arena
No melee warriors can enter the arena
All magic and range warriors can attack any position on the board
Mana value: 42
A -/ - Summoner Selection
In this battle where melee warriors are not going to enter the arena, you are targeting summoner that either protect against magic and range or enhance the units with magic then range. In some occasion, the cards under recovery from fatigue disappear from the selection board. This battle showed an example of selection that caused less influence of the Light water team.
The death and fire calling units summoner could add magic attacks to his unit for a better performance in the arena.

B -/ - Abilities influence on the board
After a good choice on the summoner side the fighters went searching for the best abilities combination to enforce the potential winning strategies.
You can find the right warriors with void, silence and reflector magic as defense abilities against all magic attackers in the arena.
The addition of armor protection could not be so useful again the magic attacks that hit directly the life point and not the armor.
I love the offensive introduction of blast in the arena. Magic attacks blasted in the Lorkus side of the board caused severe damage to all enemies on the board.
C -/ - Archer Warriors in the midst of magic attacks
Grauzral had the blast ability and the immunity to secure his life point against poison. Despite his strong unit of warriors equipped with void, silence, triage and blast the offensive boost from Lorkus to the magic point stroke significantly stronger than the defense.
Pruitt added the melee and armor protection that were not relevant in this combat.
Grauzral did the best in his role with his team to stand in the arena for 23 rounds. Inferni and Muirat had enough offensive capabilities to destroy the strong hold around the Sergeant.

D -/ - Lorkus Enhancing Magic Strikes
The equalizer added more life point to unit with deficient number of point on their statistic. Fire monster with magic attacks did benefit from the equalizer and the summoner Lorkus additional magic point to all friendly units.
The combination of Fire and Death elemental helped build a strong offensive team specialized in magic attack. The only weakness was the lack of void and silence abilities in the lineup on the board called by Lorkus.
If the battle was not stretched to above 15 rounds the Water and light team would have won the game. The equalizer and leech life point ability brought the life point of Inferni to 35 points near to the 21rst round.
Baakjira and Shannus offered a stong defense against the overwhelming magic attacks from the enemy position. Counter strike from Pruitt team was not higher enough to diminish the life point of Lorkus units.

E -/ - Could you imagine Lorkus take the victory?
It is a special victory after a long game where triage and magic defense kept the warriors active.
When each warriors hold 17 life points from the start with enough defense it can be difficult to eliminate the opponent cards.
Grauzral had the right abilities to win this combat if equalizer ruleset was not present in the arena to offer a better chance to the opposition.

I have not the Sergeant in my team, but in the water elemental I do have serious competition for the role of archer in the line.
This combat may bring more element to facilitate the investment in these assets.
