Hurray! It's 1st September! Happy new month to you all dear hivers/hivians and alivers on the hive blockchain. It is that time of the month again that we all have been waiting for and it is finally here! The Hive Power Up Day (HPUD)!
You may as, What is this concept all about? For the benefit of new hivians, this concept is that on the first day of every new month, the Hive Power UP Day (HPUD) takes place where every hivians is expected to power up at least 10 Hives to get a little bee on https://hivebuzz.me/, which was set up by @arcange. Down the line of Hive sojourn this exercise have been very helpful to both the communities and the individuals hivians account.
This now present a good opportunity to have fun at the same time strengthen and powering up your account. One good advantage is that @hivebuzz allows participants to collect Power-bee badges and as well may win Hive Power delegation from the other sponsors of this initiative.
Some of the benefit of Powering Up include:
- Earn more curation rewards. The more Hive Power you have, the more you can potentially earn back
- Earn "interest" by holding Hive Power. You will also earn HIVE passively at about 3% per year of what you currently have powered up so the more HIVE you have, the more you can earn from just holding
In this month of August 2024, I have power up 33.459 hive that I have in my wallet to take part in this exercise. This is bringing me closer to the target I set for the month August ending of having 1200 hive power. The below screenshot speaks volumes.
