Who Am I?
Greetings lovely people, My name is Suleiman Daniel Enesi. No matter how long or far a journey is, it always begins with a step...either a step to greatness or a step to disaster but we all wish that any step we are embarking on should lead us to greatness and not disaster..so I am taking a bold step into greatness today as I have already made up my mind to journey on the part of greatness with great minds on the Hive family.... I am looking forward to interacting with like minds where we can learn, unlearn, and relearn about life.
Meet Suleiman Daniel Enesi.
I hail from the North Central Geopolitical zone in Nigeria. I attended the University of Jos where I obtained my Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm). Before then I attended NIOMCO Staff Secondary School where I obtained my secondary leaving certificate. When I was in Primary School I had this passion to see that people were relieved of their pain whenever they had an injury or they were sick.
I was so interested in what they take in and how they feel even though I don't have any knowledge about medications. That was in Primary School, I had this desire to be a health practitioner( though I didn't know the difference between a Doctor and a Pharmacist then) so I kept that desire burning within me to the extent that whenever someone was sick in our neighborhood and I was asked to go and get some drugs for the person I will never forget the name of the drug I was told to buy(I think those from some of the villages in Nigeria understand what I mean)... I have passion for calculations thus I fell in love with mathematics and physics during my secondary school days... I represented my school in a physics competition and I was among the best ten (10) in my State. Then my physics teacher advised me to study physics at the University but I told him I already have a passion for medicine...
Forward to when I was seeking admission into the university, it was very difficult (though I met all the requirements)..my parents tried their best to see that I got admission but it was already late so I decided to take the bull by the horns by traveling down to Jos to stay with a distance relative and see how I can meet people who might be of help to me to gain admission, I must say that some family members don't want your progress and thus they can go at any length to frustrate you so that you won't achieve your dreams but I remain strong and focus to see that I achieved my dream because I believe I can contribute my quota to humanity better when I equip myself with the necessary qualifications...
To God be the glory I got admission to study Pharmacy after a second attempt.. I must say that Pharmacy school is a different world on its own as you will encounter different challenges during the program but when I was in my second year something struck me down my bone-marrow that changed my perception about life and that was when we were taken to the dissection room to study human anatomy with dead bodies... I lost my aunty to the cold hands of death due to uncontrolled diabetes mellitus and I decided to learn more about the disease condition to know how to help humanity. This led me to do my undergraduate project research on diabetes mellitus. To God be the glory I graduated and got inducted into the Pharmacy profession.
JOURNEY AFTER UNIVERSITY/PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE
After my induction into the Pharmacy profession, I proceeded to one of the Federal Medical Centers in the country for my one-year mandatory internship program after which I proceeded for my one-year service to the nation in one of the General Hospitals in the North West geopolitical zone of the country... When I was posted to the hospital at first I was heartbroken because there was no access to electricity in the village where the hospital was located but because of my desire to serve humanity I stayed put even though some people advised me to redeploy... During my service year, I engaged in an almost free-of-charge service at a community pharmacy where I attended to people's health demands and I was glad I did...
After my service year, I have been engaging people at the grassroots...Oh, do I forget to say that I met the love of my life when I was working at a community pharmacy in my State... I can boldly say that I met my wife when I was doing what I have passion for and presently we are blessed with two lovely kids... watching the kids grow daily is a source of joy and an inspiration to me..
WHY I AM EXCITED JOINING THE HIVE FAMILY
From my childhood, I have loved mingling and interacting with people while we share ideas that will propel humanity in the right direction. It was because of my passion to learn more about life that I met the person who introduced me to the hive platform today...he goes by the username lightpen... His wealth of experience and view on life is top-notch.
I am always excited when I am around him sharing ideas about service to humanity... I believe my joining hive today will allow me to interact with people of diverse cultural heritage but with the same life goal which is service to humanity...Before I forget I am a football fan and love politics also so am excited to meet people that I can have fun with regarding football and and also talk about how world politics can be positioned in such a way that service to humanity is always a top priority when making political decisions... Presently I work in a community Pharmacy where I rendered my professional services to the host community and environs.
In conclusion, I will try to contribute my quota to the growth of the hive family while I look forward to interacting with people to make the world a better place...
My special thanks go to @lightpen for inviting me to the family.
And thank you for having me, kindly note that all images are mine.
