Hello everyone!
How are we all doing today?
Today's entry marks my econd entry for jamming zone and guess what?
I'm so excited to continue my participation in the jamming zone.
I have always seen this jamming zone announcement, but in a way I felt I'm not qualified enough to do solo work on any instrument.
One thing that jamming zone has done to me lately is that it has helped me improve my solo work as an instrumentalist especially as a pianist.
This rendition of mine is a testament that I'm improving in my solo skills as a pianist.

I had a very busy day which was due to the fact that I have been designed a work that was given to be for about 3 days now.
I just needed to complete the work today which really took almost all my time today.
I didn't even step out of my room today until late evening.
I finally finished up with my work and I had to freshen up and head out for my church's executive get together.
Oh, that I didn't tell you all about.
In my fellowship, we usually hold a get together where we feast at the end of every semester.
For this semester, we decided to do something different.
We opted for pounded yam and a soup that is very popular in every tribe in Nigeria known as egusi soup.
Everyone was served two turkeys per plate.

Let me skip this part because this is of course now why we are here... lol
The purpose of this post is to get us all soaked in this sound.
For Jamming zone week 27, I decided to do the piano solo of two worship songs and they are "Jireh by maverick City and Made a way by Travis Greene"
These songs are powerful worship songs that were released years back.
The first one known as Jireh was released by a gospel music team known ad maverick city.
Maverick city is a powerful contemporary gospel team known for their powerful and inspirational lyrics which structures the heart of men.

The second song is a very powerful worship song too which I loved to listen to many years back.
The lyrics are very powerful and relatable one due to the reflection the writer had as regards the song which is a true life story according to him.

I hope you enjoy this musical piece as you listen.
Thanks!

¡Gracias! Uploaded using 3Speak Mobile App

Always a great honor to be in this lovely community!

Let me first of all congratulate you for this new format you have created. You are doing very well. Here again you have been forceful with your art. Melodies that cross borders and take us to paradise.

My brother 🧡🧡
Music is a powerful weapon of the heart.
I love the fact that you gave my music space in your heart.
I appreciate you brotherly!

Hello bro, its a pleasure to have you participating and bringing you talent and skill into this event, you performed very well these worship songs and achieved a very enjoyable sound with a clean technique, good job! however, "Jamming Zone" is focused mainly on original improvisations (wich can be done over the track of an already existing song, i must point out) rather than covers, other than that i really enjoyed your entry, thanks for joining Jamming Zone week 27!

Thanks for appreciating my work.
Especially for your correction.
I really do not understand that improvisation aspect.
Can you shed more light?

Also, playing of piano solo of an original song is an improvisation isn't it?

What I understand by improvisation is more like "spontaneous"...
Something that came up without preparation.
I just solo my heart out pointing out melodies.
However, like I've pointed out brother, please I'll appreciate your more detailed explanation.

Every weekly post of Jamming Zone has a brief introduction about the event and it explains it is about improvisation or "jams" wich are very common in blues/jazz and many other style of music, improvisation comes up when you just play what youre feeling in the moment with no previous structure or music writing, let´s say you have a backing track in C major and you just jam along with it playing the C major scale and its relative A minor and pentatonic scales for example, you create your own melody in real time without previosu preparation thats basically what it´s about, you can do it over a rythmic base made of your own or a backing track, or simply impovise on any instrument without any backing, the idea is to stimulate creativity by performing original tunes on the go ... you can find some good examples on other entries, and maybe in one of my own videos, i have long time without posting anything tho ... big hug brother! many blessings for you =)

I understand better man.
I'll do better!

Thanks for your understanding, exactly as you said "spontaneous" is a perfect word to define improvisations ;) my best wishes of success for you my friend!

You are a great musican and let us know every week, bro that was amazing love the piano, a hug
