Why are we even here?

Hello, everyone.

Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learners' featured post. Sometimes I am lost in thoughts about our purpose for being on earth. Looking at tough things that have been of late, I am left wondering if our purpose on earth is to just keep working and trying to afford our basic needs and wants until the day our maker calls us home, or is there really something else we are here for because of late? It has just been working to get basic needs and wants as well as clear every bill, but in the end I came to the conclusion that our purpose on earth actually varies from one individual to another. Every single individual has a destiny that they ought to fulfill, which in the end becomes their purpose here on earth.

These days, the world makes it seem like making money and attaining financial stability is our only purpose on earth, but it is not so. Making money and attaining financial stability can be part of our purpose, but not our only purpose. The world goes beyond just having money and attaining financial stability.

Our purpose on earth varies from one individual to another, and for some it is because of what they believe in; for some they believe they were sent here to win souls for the kingdom, and there are still some that think otherwise, but in all, to fulfill your purpose in life, you must stay purpose-driven. For whatever reason you feel or believe you were sent on earth for, if you do not stay purpose-driven, then you will not be able to fulfill your purpose because fulfilling purpose is not something you do in a day; it is something that requires you to show up every day and stay consistent at trying to fulfill it. Sometimes you get discouraged, but if you are purpose-driven, you find yourself trying to stay motivated.

The sincere truth is that not everyone gets to discover their purpose; some people just live life until whenever they go back to join their maker but never really find their purpose. Finding your purpose is not an easy task, like I said earlier; it is not a day job; it is something that requires a lot of work. One thing that can help an individual find their purpose is self-reflection. Identifying what matters to you the most can be family and personal growth. Reflecting on things that are of value to you can actually help you find your purpose. Also, pinpointing where your strengths and weaknesses lie is a big step towards finding your purpose.

Another way to find your purpose is to find what you do have passion for, things that make you happy, and you can do effortlessly something you really do enjoy, not something you are forced to do or won't do unless you are forced to. Something you don't need to be told to do them before you do them; your passion can be your purpose; explore hobbies and see what comes out of doing that. For me, after some self-reflection, I feel part of my purpose is aimed toward personal growth and development, to empower myself and those around me to continuously evolve and improve myself.

Sort:

Everyone truely have their purpose and we must look inward via self reflection to be able to find out what it's.

you must stay purpose-driven. For whatever reason you feel or believe you were sent on earth for

This makes sense but unfortunately it is hard for hungry people to focus on their purpose on earth, every one right now is just fighting a battle to eradicate poverty

Finding purpose is not that easy though. There are purposes that are like a general purpose, just like the soul winning you mentioned earlier on but there are purposes designed uniquely for everyone. When you arrive there, you will know that you are there. Just like you said, there is always this feeling of peace and satisfaction that comes with doing those things. It's a terrible thing to live and die without fulfilling purpose. It's just like one has wasted his or her life because without purpose, we have no use at all.
