Hello Awesome Splinterlands Community, I'm here to share my journey so far in splinterlands game in response to the Social Media Challenge Theme- share your Journey. I'll be doing so below, enjoy the ride!
Discovery of Splinterlands
I actually came across Splinterlands here on hive. I always saw much engagement on Splinterlands and that was what got my attention at first. I then met a friend of mine that introduced me to hive and he explained what Splinterlands was all about. He then referred me to Splinterlands and that was how I got started. I even got gifted a free spell book by a popular Splinterlands Youtuber called Bulldogs. I was really happy about it. There are so many nice people on the Splinterlands Community.
After playing for a while, a friend I met on the Splinterlands discord server invited me to join his guild. He was a real help to me because I always game to him when I had any question about Splinterlands.
Duration of Participation

I've been playing Splinterlands since August 2023, although I took a break for about a month because of school work. But I'm back and better now!! So I'll say I've been playing Splinterlands for about 2 months plus so I consider myself a seasoned veteran. During my stay, I've experienced lots of interesting changes in the game.
Time Spent in Splinterlands
During the holiday, I use about 3 to 4 hours playing Splinterlands. I'm in school now, so I spend at least 30 minutes to an hour playing everyday just to try balance it with other activities of mine.
Accomplishments
Well, I may not have great accomplishments in the game like some do but I'm very proud of my progress. I'm currently in Silver 2 of the Wild league and I have over 50 chests to open by the end on the season. Also participated in some tournaments that I did well in. Outside all that, I feel my main accomplishment was growing my sps bit by bit despite the fact that I don't play as much as I would love to.
Upcoming Goals
Goals, yes! I have lots of goals in Splinterlands. My major goal is to get at least 1k sps before February ending. I have to be consistent in order to achieve this and also scale up the leagues to earn better rewards like higher sps. Another aspiration of mine is to get to the Gold league in both the Modern and Wild league. I would also love to purchase better cards and open more packs in order to step up my competition in the game.
Advice for Beginners
My first advice is not to rush the progress. You'll get better bit by bit. Yes, at first, it'll all seem complicated and overwhelming but just keep at it and it'll become simple in no time.
Some tips I'd tell beginners is to always watch their matches and not be discouraged even when they have a losing streak. Watching one's matches helps to pinpoint mistakes and help come up with better strategies that'll help a lot. Also watch matches from other players in your league, see the cards they use and purchase them. If you can't purchase them, best you rent then! Lastly, always ask questions. You could ask on the Splinterlands Discord Server and you'll get replies fast, there are so many people that would love to help you out. Splinterlands is like a big loving family.
Splinterlands is the best blockchain game you'd ever come across, so take your time and get acquainted to the game and you'll start seeing results in no time!
