Splinterlands
One of the newest abilities in the Splinterverse is the bloodlust ability, and boy, does it pack a punch! The ability was one of my favorites for a long time and the first card I had with bloodlust was Grum Flameblade. To see Grum gain all stats upgrade with each lethal attack was crazy.
Then came many other cards with bloodlust, but Quora stands out. This is one card that depicts bloodlust in the baddest sense. Shall we compare the bloodlust of any card versus Quora? Let’s do it.
But before that, shall we spend a minute getting to know Splinterlands? After all, that’s where you will find all these fun battles, rules, and monsters.
What Game is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is a digital card game that allows you to collect, trade, battle, rent, and even earn from the cards. It was founded in 2018 and is still going strong. The game gives Play to Earn a whole different meaning. By now, you would know that the governance token (SPS) airdrop made millionaires out of the early adopters. It still keeps giving and remains a fun and engaging game.
To give you an idea of how lucky you can get in Splinterlands, read my story of getting cards worth $500 from buying only a few packs worth $20.
Got Cards Worth $500 from $20 Packs
And this is just a tiny number. I have witnessed people getting uber-expensive cards in their pack and selling them for as high as $6500. There is a whole Splinterlands marketplace on the Hive blockchain and now on Wax too. And now the sales of the Rebellion packs, the newest of the lot, have also started.

Bloodlust Comparison | Quora Towershead Vs. Isgald Vorst
In the Splinterverse Quora with the bloodlust ability is one of the cards to beat. The card is a dual attack card with magic and a melee attack. So, when this card does power up due to bloodlust, it gets a stats upgrade on both the attack types. Not to mention Quora also has a self-healing ability.
Now, I have noticed Isgald taking out Quora on more than one occasion. Several factors played a role, including Quora not having powered up much, Quora’s self-heal affected, etc. But Isgald has one thing going for it and that is the opportunity ability along with bloodlust. This means Isgald will always go for the low-health monsters, and therefore, highly likely that it would take them down and power up. That means, Isgald would also rise in stats quite quickly.
All this being true about Quora and Isgald, it is no surprise that I intend to try their battle against each other. It will be a Clash of the Titans!
The Battle | Frowns and Angry Brows
We will take a look at the rules and then proceed to the battle.
The rules are straightforward. All regular rules apply and all Splinters are allowed. Since the battle has a 28-mana cap it falls in the lower to mid range. So, we can have a combination of high mana and low mana monsters and still stay under the mana cap.
Let’s meet both armies.
The Face-Off Screen
And here is the lineup.
The opponent’s team is at the top while mine is at the bottom of the screen. Mine is the team with Quora as the tank. I went with Earth Splinter while the opponent took Water Splinter. Isgald is in the third position of the opponent’s lineup. So, now we know where the Titans are positioned.
We Battle Hard
Battling hard is an understatement.
Isgald already had two kills while Quora got her first. Isgald has already powered up twice by the second round while Quora is just one. Despite that, Quora still has the advantage of dual attack and higher health.
Let’s see how this proceeds.
And The Battle Races to Conclusion
The battle did race to a conclusion.
I had expected the battle to go on longer, but just by the beginning of the fourth round, Quora gets Isgald. With Isgald out of the way, there was nothing much left in the opponent’s lineup. I won.
You can see the battle in the link below to see the complete battle.
A Hard-Fought Battle | An Interesting Result
Quora did well to pull back the game for me but had the situation been reversed where Isgald got to attack Quora from any other position, the outcome would have been different. Just because both came to the first position almost at the same time, Quora’s destructive attacks were enough to flatten out Isgald. So, this round went to me, but you can never be sure with a bloodlust monster in the opponent’s lineup.
I loved the battle. How about you? I hope you enjoyed reading about the battle too. You can also look at it live in the links provided below. Have fun! 😊
Namaste!
