I seem to be on a bit of a waterfall binge here lately. After visits to two long run out rapid type waterfalls I visit a more classical vertical drop type. This is Tumalo Falls about 14 miles outside of Bend Oregon. Tumalo Creek drops about 100 feet as it makess its journey from the slopes of the Cascade Mountain Range through Bend to the Deschutes River. Follow along as I share some images from my trip to Tumalo Falls.
The first view of the falls after arriving. |

Taken from the observation deck that hangs out over the chasm.
A small panorama of the same view.
And here is me bravely standing on the observation deck pretending I don't have a fear of heights. 😀
At the top of the falls a look over the plunge point.
The creek continuing on its journey after the fall.
A look at the rock wall surrounding the falls.
Another small falls above the main falls. Also trying to work on my blur motion photography a bit here. There are several more smaller falls as you continue up the trail along the creek. That will have to be a journey for another day though.
On the way back down a little more practice on my blur motion technique.
