Utah Vacation 2010 - Series 1

in #hive-1654855 months ago

A short selection of shots from a vacation I took to Utah in 2010. The excuse for going was to visit some property I owned there at the time but also turned the trip into a chance to visit some of the sights in SW Utah. It was a great trip and I hope you enjoy viewing some of the images I captured. 😀

A couple views from my former property. My dad bought the 2.5 acres in 1960 for $300 and I sold it a couple years ago for $3000. Would have been nice to hold onto but I just couldn't see myself using it that often.

utah-2.JPGA couple shots at Snow Canyon State Park near St George Utah. Got in a couple of short hikes before moving on to the camp spot for the night.

utah-5.JPGSpent two nights at Quail Creek State Park outside of Hurricane Utah. A really incredible place to swim and enjoy relaxing views of the surrounding landscape.

utah-4.JPGDuring a hike in Zion National Park I tried to capture the immensity of it all with my little Fuji Finepix A210. Not great but it does give you some idea.

utah-6.JPGVisted some "secret" petroglyphs while leaving Zion. Ancient microblogging in action. 😀

utah-7.JPGAnd the last stop for today is an overlook of the hoodoos in Bryce National Park.
