I'm Jesse, a student and a writer. I made a decision earlier this year to focus on my career and think less of any man around me. It started off so well until something I did see coming struck. I've had a crush on this particular dark, charming young man for a while. At first, I just took a liking to him but it hit me differently this time. He's a good friend of mine and with time, I noticed that my interest in him grew more and more to an extent that I almost couldn't control the rate at which I breathe. It also deprived me of sleep. How can just thinking of someone make you feel so light like you're flying with hands spread out. It felt like the wind could just blow me to any direction that I could see him, that was when I understood that just seeing or hugging a person could feel like heaven on Earth. I couldn't hold it to myself any longer, I needed to talk to someone, I needed to talk about how I was feeling because it was too overwhelming to handle alone and too much for one person to contain. I decided to talk to two people that weren't him about it. It helped relieve the weight of what I felt a little but it wasn't enough, I just couldn't handle keeping what I felt away from him for one more night, if i did, i might burst open by morning. I thought of different ways to do so, I mean I wasn't courageous enough to waalk up to him so I had to find a way around it. After some time, I decided to send it over a text, and had no other option. I typed, "Hey, I don't mean to disturb you but I really want to let you know something. It's been there for a while though but I couldn't keep it anymore to myself. I have a crush on you".
Immediately I sent it to him, oh my God, you won't believe how at peace i felt, i was so relieved. The only thing on my mind was just to get some sleep, I didn't even bother to think of how he would respond to it and thank God for that, I couldn't handle anymore thoughts for the night. Woke up the next morning to prepare for school, freshened up and set out for school. I entered the class, sat down and got out my books for the class. I had to keep my school bag just below my desk on the space provided for it, on raising my head, my eyes locked with his. Oww, what a moment. I was startled but I couldn't help but watch his beautiful face and charming smile. His facial features are nothing compared to anything I've seen. His eyes, the part that always catches my attention the most, are narrowly shaped with humility and calm fused into his eyeballs to fit perfectly. Have you ever fallen for someone's voice, his is angelic though he never agrees to that. He doesn't even need to sing for you to testify it, speaking alone will give it all away. Even as I watched him so closely, he didn't for once make me feel awkward or uncomfortable about the way I stared. I kept telling myself to look away but I just couldn't, I was charmed already by one of the Almighty's creations. He called my attention and then asked me to follow him out, that was when all I had sent to him the previous night became all fresh again in my memory.
