The future is here, and it's digital. And if you are reading this, you must have a digital lifestyle. It is the way we live, work, and interact with ourselves using digital technologies such as our smartphones, laptops, software and apps, and social media. The Digital Lifestyle community is a hub for the digital you.
What To Expect
You want to be able to walk into a space where you could find interesting, insightful, and useful things that could potentially improve how you do things in this digital world that we live in, all in one place, as well as share them for others to find, too.
What apps and software help you work better, or perhaps read better? If you're working remotely, what digital tools do you use? What web applications or sites do you find fascinating for a certain service you enjoy? Tech hacks, tips, and tricks. Productivity tools, digital wellness trackers, and content creation tools. The list is endless, and you probably get what the community is about.
Although many communities accept content surrounding digital things, the Digital Lifestyle community will primarily focus on such content and personal experiences with digital technologies.
Content Ideas
App reviews: your experience with a productivity app, social media management tool, streaming service, or habit tracker, for example.
Tech tips and tricks: learning or practicing touch typing, workflow hacks, using specific software features to streamline tasks.
Digital wellness: screen time management, digital detox, digital minimalism.
Content creation tutorials: writing software, video editing tips, podcast production, thumbnail/banner/artworks for articles (like Canva).
Productivity routines: digital tools to stay organised, time-management tools, streamlining personal and professional experiences.
Digital product experiences also, but preferably your experiences and how the product comes into play in your digital life experiences. Tech product reviews are fine, but your experiences and stories with them give them life, and that's what we'd like to see.
Personal stories on how you used digital tech to achieve a personal goal or overcome a challenge, how you maintain digital habits and routines, or the impact of digi-tech in your relationships or your work-life balance.
How-to guides: tutorials on digital tools, software, or platforms.
Digital nomads can share their experiences work life, and lifestyle traveling with their digital things.
Community Guidelines and Updates
The idea is to maintain a supportive space where we can all learn, grow, and enhance our digital lives. And there are just a few rules here:
- Zero AI-generated content, plagiarism, and post-recycling. Such posts will be muted without warning.
- Original content. Posts must be in English alone. 1 post per day. 300 words of quality, at least.
- Be mindful to indicate sources of images that aren't yours.
- Stay on topic. Use
#digital-lifestyle
And for moderation and community updates, @digital.hub will serve as the community account (Digi-Portal). Whatever developments, announcements, contests, prompts, or highlights we'll have in this community will happen there.
There's a Discord server under construction. My idea is to have an archive/library kind of server where just about anyone can find curated posts that have value you may want to revisit, and things like that. When it's up and running, we'll all know.
It's a small community now, but I think you understand how cool it would be to have such a space like this. So, if you're on board with enhancing the digital you, kindly spread this post with a reblog, subscribe to the community, and let me know what you think in a comment.
Welcome to the Digital Lifestyle community!
