HIVE MUSIC FESTIVAL WEEK 117 {ROUND 3} COVER OF YESHUA HAMASHIACH BY @OLUTHOMAS
Hello! Good day, everyone!
Welcome to my blog, lovelies! My name is @oluthomas, and I’m delighted to have you here.
This is week 117 of the Hive Music Festival, Round 3, and I’m honored to be part of this week’s entries.
For this week, I will be playing the keyboard and singing a rendition of Pastor Nathaniel Bassey’s song, {Yeshua Hamashiach}. Nathaniel Bassey is a renowned gospel singer, trumpeter, pastor, and songwriter. I took time to listen to most of his songs, and I must say, I truly admire the diversity, progressions, and melodies in his music and his trumpet skills as well.
This particular song is a heartfelt worship song proclaiming God’s name and calling Him the Lion of Judah, a title that carries profound meaning.
When we call someone a lion, there’s usually a significant reason behind it. Similarly, it was written in the Bible that the Spirit of God is often likened to a dove, as seen when John the Baptist baptized Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and the Spirit descended upon Him like a dove. The attributes of a dove are gentleness, peace, comfort, and many more, which so align with the Holy Spirit’s nature.
In the same way, the title Lion of Judah is deeply symbolic. Let me explain briefly:
A lion is known for having the ability to be a protector of its territory, unwilling to tolerate defeat. It courageously confronts any challenge before him, sacrifices for its pride, and uses its wisdom, strength, and tactics to attack. When a lion roars, the entire jungle feels the power and authority of its voice. These attributes mirror God’s nature, and for that, God can be referred to as a protector, defender, and leader who ensures the safety and victory of those who are His.
When we recognize God as the Lion of our lives, we can be reassured in His protection and strength. As the Lion of Judah, God fiercely watches over His people and battles on our behalf.
Every time I sing or listen to Yeshua Hamashiach, it stirs my spirit. Although I don’t know the exact revelation Nathaniel Bassey had while writing the song, my spirit bears witness to its truth. Each time I worship with this song, I feel God’s power taking over my battles, lifting me up, and silencing those who try to bring me down. This song has blessed me beyond measure, and I can confidently say it will continue to do so.
I hope you enjoy my rendition! Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and listen to my entry. Please leave a comment or any form of encouragement—it truly means a lot to me. Stay tuned for something unique and different in my next post, by God’s grace. One love @oluthomas
