Text messages are one of the best methods of communication, whether you are sending them to a friend, a family member, a colleague, or a Boss.

Text messaging also known as texting, can be defined as the act of composing and sending electronic messages, usually comprising of numbers and alphabets, or some special characters and graphics between two or more users of mobile phones, desktops/laptops, or any type of compatible computer or Electronic Devices.

I use Text messages a lot for my Everyday activities, I am a big fan of texting, I text a lot and then call a lot , just as I receive calls from people.

I have rules I follow especially before texting people, I try as possible to keep text messages categorized into formal and informal kind of messages.

My Rule when texting people
Firstly I love keeping my text short and readable. Remember earlier I said my text messages are categorized into formal and informal texts. Here is what I mean, by formal text messages, these are the text messages that are for My boss, the head of departments, my pastors, my teachers, and any other people who are either Work-related or professional-related People.

For any person that falls under the formal chat, I don't use abbreviations or slang in my text, I greet and then go directly to the issue of concern or the main reason I am sending that message to them. For example, if I am sending a text message to my boss, I don't want to beat around the bush, crack any jokes, or do some dumb abbreviations, if I did all that, the recipient might not take me seriously.

Informal text is the type of text messages with my close ones, for example, my siblings, my best friends, my chat friends, and my family.
In this type of text message, I do all fun stuff, I add jokes and sarcastic comments, I abbreviate my text to shorten the length, and I add memes.
Back to my first rule in my texting, I keep it very short and readable whether the message is formal or informal.

My second rule of texting Watch the timing and mood of the Recipient. For me, I would rather not reply to any text message during my praise and worship session in the church or any spiritual gathering. Mood matters too, whenever I chat with people, for example, I will be more careful chatting with someone who is in pain from the loss of a loved one, someone who is extremely angry, or someone who never really wants to chat with me. I try as much as possible to evaluate whoever I am texting, if you do not return the energy I am giving you, I will rather stop chatting with you. I don't want to be forcing my chat on you, or perhaps you forcing your chat on me.

It's the flow of conversation that makes things more interesting, I can't contain being with a person that is dulling my vibes.

Does this ever affect the way people chat with me?

I don't think so, people who roll with me know how I do my thing, so we are all cool.

I hope you enjoy and have a great weekend😘

That mood matters
Especially for someone that just lost a loved one like you said
You should always be careful on how to talk to them.

You are very correct,
