What would you do when you open your laundry room and a Monster is there lurking?
Not my story but a story of a woman,
Angie Preciado; who's laundry room has been domiciled by a Gila Monster.
Yes! Reptiles are notoriously known for this creepy attitude, slithering their way into our rooms and living spaces uninvited unless you rare one as a pet.
So what areGila Monsters? They are said to be one of the venomous lizards. They go by
Heloderma Suspectum as per biological name and they are native of the Southwestern United States and the northwestern Mexican state of Sonora.
Although not posing major threats to humans, yet the name might sound a bit sinister. But they have a nasty and extremely painful bite, and could kill pets like Cats and small Dogs around house.
Regardless of their fearsome look, generally they are pretty slow in nature like the Sloth, and just want to do their own thing with a 22inches/56 centimeters long body(fully grown one) and at a sluggish pace.
Gila monsters have a somewhat overemphasized reputation and this has put them on the scare of the verge of extinction as they are often being killed on sight. Although, they are protected by law in the state of Arizona, yet this doesn't reduce the near extinct fears.
I'll definitely get goosebumps and some kind of skin reaction if I see one or by mistake rub skin with one of these reptiles or anyone reptile for that matter. My skin often betray me in such cringing situations and I'm sure this doesn't happen to me alone in this world.
