Hi friends!
Its my first time here. Over the weeks, I hae been tutored on how much benefits aboundin this space, Hive. So, being here is a great achievement for me. I loook forward to meeting peole from around the globe and to share ideas too.
My name is Adeyinka Kassim, a proud Nigerian. I am of the Yoruba ethnic group, the most popular amongst the Nigerian people, known to be the most accommodating and friendly people world over. Typicaly, I am an Ijebu man. The Ijebu people are best known for their prowess in farming, hunting, domestication of animals and unwavering business acumen. I have taken pleasure in this and currently I own a poultry farm in the Araga farm settlement in the Epe area of Lagos state.
My coming to Hive was a result of the tutelage I got from @mrenglish. He had been the link between me and this place and I hope to put good use of all learned towards sharing my quota here.
In our time, when one can be a jack of all trades and master of all, I studied Mass Communication at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun state. The study of mass communication has givem me the opportnity to delve into many aspect of literatures and writing and the same I shall be relating in my subsequent post, going forward.
I'm a lover of sports with special interest in football. I follow Chelsea football club. I sould say that I am a die hard Chelsea fan. Over the years, I have on Chelsea's radar, following the team to and from several competitions I Europe and England. Our current position in the premier league table may not be quite encouraging but like thwy say, "every team has her difficult time", we probably are going through our trying times as a football club and that does not eshew the fact the CFC is a champion, havin created many world footballers tgat are recognised.
As a person, just like i have my likes, so also the dislikes. I hate looking down on people's ideas and their persons. I key into the light of hope and as such doesn't like to be persimmistic about life. I love to dwell on critical thinking for objectivity when it comes to writing thus making me to give faint attention to uninspiring and shallow write ups.
Equally, I'm a lover of domestic animals. Birds, Cats, Dogs and others do interest me. Currently I raise birds and keep for different purposes. I have layers for egg production, broilers, noilers and cockerels for meet production. Taking care of birds for optimal production demands a whole lot, most especially as the owner. One has to be involved in the animals to build a bond give them a sense of belonging. My years of experience practicing this have thought me that there's a corresponding joy and internal fulfilment (good for your health) when you bond closely with your pets. It gets so touching and emotional when you see one of them die.
A well thought out and detailed writing has always been my motivation when it's time to put the power of creative ingenuity to use. No doubt, this platform will provide me a better opportunity to fully activate my artistic expression.
At my liesure time, I do take a nap to ease the troubles of a stressful day.
Finally, I am so grateful that I am here. I am poised at breaking new grounds and making new friends from all over. One thing is sure. Wherever you a Nigerian, that place is a fertile land, invest there.
