This past summer, I had frequent visits from a squirrel who was clearly nursing some babies. She would eat a lot of nuts on those visits and mostly preferred those without the shells.
Most squirrels would grab a nut and scamper off. Mamma, however, would hang out next to me on the patio. It feels like we have developed a bond.
I tend to talk to the animals that visit me and I had many conversations her as she feasted. Maybe someday, with her permission, I'll tell you some of those stories.
In this video, she chows down on some almonds and walnuts while staring adoringly up at me with the cutest look on her face. There is also some good close-up footage. All of the while, a chipmunk patiently waits for it's turn.
Wherever we are, we are surrounded by nature. It's always trying to communicate with us. Take time to notice. #NoticeNature.
