The grocery store was full of pumpkins today - they were basically everywhere you looked. There were big ones and small ones, mostly bright orange with some pale ones mixed in. A few kids were picking through them with their parents, trying to find good ones for Halloween. The store owner seemed pretty happy about her pumpkin collection, even though she probably ordered too many. They were stacked on shelves and in bins, some sitting on hay bales to make them look nice. I ended up buying a medium-sized one that was kind of funny-looking, just because it made me smile.
