Hello Hivers! I hope you are all fine. A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to play with my band Meganova at MoDo, a very well known place in the city of Caracas, a space that has several food restaurants, a stage for concerts, and even a bowling alley.
It wasn't my first time going to MoDo but it was my first time playing there, I had been there before to see my other friends perform there, and finally it was my turn to be on stage. It was a new but fun experience.
Among so many things that happened that day, one of the anecdotes that I take with me is that, during the soundcheck we discovered that we needed a specific type of microphone, which allows to record the sound of a bass drum without a hole to introduce the microphone, the person in charge of the sound almost opened a hole for my bass drum, but everyone in the band joined forces, we made calls and we got a borrowed microphone for the bass drum thanks to the help of my friend @camiloferrua (the best!)
We had to go by car to get it and hurry back to the soundcheck, it was quite an errand but we managed to save my bass drum from the clutches of the sound guy hahaha.
The concert was fun and the place was super full, this time we were showing a set where we played pop songs but in a rock version, we chose songs by Billie Eillish, Britney Spears, Ariana Grande, Rihanna and more, and we took them to a style a little bit heavier and rocker than the original versions.

Que dice la gente de Hive! Espero se encuentre bien. Hace un par de semanas tuve la oportunidad de tocar con mi banda Meganova en MODO, un sitio muy conocido en la ciudad de Caracas, un espacio que cuenta con diversos restaurantes de comida, una tarima para conciertos, y hasta un bowling.
No era la mi primera vez que iba a MoDo más si fue mi primera vez tocando allíl, antes habia asistido para ver mis otros amigos presentarse allí, y al fin me tocó a mi estar en tarima. Fue una experiencia nueva pero divertida.
Entre tantas cosas que pasaron ese día, una de las anecdotas que me llevo es que, dada la falta de cierto tipo de micrófono específico, la persona encargada del sonido casi le abre un hueco a mi bombo, pero todos en la banda unimos fuerzas, hicimos llamadas y conseguimos durante plena prueba de sonido un microfono prestado para que lo colocaran frente al bombo. Tuvimos que ir en carro a buscarlo y volver rápido a la prueba, fue toda una diligencia pero logramos salvar a mi batería de las garras del sonidista jajaja.
El concierto fue divertido y el local estaba super full, en esta oportunidad estabamos mostrando un show en donde tocamos canciones pop pero versionadas a rock, elegimos canciones de Billie Eillish, Britney Spears, Ariana Grande, Rihanna y muchas más, pero las llevamos a un estilo un poco más pesado y rockero que las versiones originales.
