Hello friends, after 90 days have elapsed since I started growing chives, the time for the harvest finally arrived. Actually, what every farmer wants most is to see the product of his effort, which is reflected in his harvests, it is It is exciting to see the development of the plants patiently, but more exciting is when the harvest time approaches, which is the time when we can touch the fruits of the plants. I have always said that plants are like children, because from that are born require a lot of care, the plants must be cared for during all stages of their development and above all, protect them from enemies such as pests, so if we want the plants to grow healthy and bear fruit we must take care of them.

It was time to harvest my chives, an effort that paid off

Yes, my friends, the expected time has come to harvest my chives, as I was telling you, about 90 days ago I started growing chives, during this time I provided the plants with the necessary nutrients so that they would grow vigorously, although I had to fight some pests, but I did. What I couldn't fight was the heavy rains, they damaged some of my plants, but they are things of nature that you can't fight, but I learned that for this time of year you can't plant this type of vegetable, so next time I am going to sow my chives until November to harvest in February of the following year.

Here I am with my compadre pulling up the chives to pack them, because I have several orders, each package of chives weighs 10 kilos and I sell it to restaurants and shops for $10 per package.

Selling my chives:

Chives are a vegetable that is widely used as a condiment in many food dishes, but the dish that has the most chives is Chinese rice, so some supermarkets are among my clients, but the ones I sell the most to are restaurants. Chinese, who buy me 120 kilos a week.
