Hello friends, I hope you are all well, I TELL YOU that for two weeks my cucumber crop has been gradually drying out, since it has been invaded by the whitefly, this pest is terrible since it feeds on the sap. of the leaves, then these leaves turn yellowish and dry, I have tried to combat it with the use of insecticides such as IMIDACLOPRID, but the effort has been in vain, I have not been able to combat this pest.
Whitefly ruined my cucumber plants
Yes friends, the whitefly is very harmful, when it extracts the sap from the leaves, they begin to dry, generally the whitefly deposits its eggs on the underside of the leaves, so sometimes we look at our plants and do not realize of the presence of its presence, the problem is that when we detect its presence it is because it has already invaded the crop and then we have to use many insecticides, causing a lot of expenses, so the best thing is to use some preventive measures such as the use of repellents. natural to keep this pest away from our crops.
This is how my cucumber crop looked in the month of December last year:
Until December 23 of last year, my cucumber crops were vigorous, their leaves maintained an intense green color, and with beautiful fruits, BUT! That day, December 23, I had to leave the farm to spend Christmas and the end of the year with my family in the city of Puerto la Cruz. Well, my friends, on January 8, I returned to the farm. The truth is, apparently, my cucumber crops looked good, OF COURSE! During my absence this crop was not fumigated, because the man who took care of them was only in charge of watering while I returned. I CONFESS, that is where the mistake lies, well, the following week, I noticed that the cucumber leaves were turning yellow and It was then when I discovered the presence of the whitefly, but it was too late, because during these 20 days he tried to combat this pest and could not.
The whitefly invaded my cucumbers: Look what the leaves and fruits look like:
The whitefly won the battle, but I gained an experience
That's right friends, losing is also winning, I couldn't fight the whitefly, but not everything was lost, at least I enjoyed some cucumber fruits, and I also received a good lesson, because from now on I am not going to neglect my crops, this This situation had never happened to me, but this has given me experience.
