Hello adventurous friends! Today we are going to take a path that is very famous in the Leiria region for its beautiful landscapes, the point of origin is in the village of Fontes and we will climb more than 400 meters high, we will pass through the mountain ranges of: "Maunça and Senhora do Monte" to finish our adventure at the same point of origin since it is a circular path! However, you will be able to see in my adventure beautiful landscapes that border Leiria and that will motivate you to your next adventures if you plan to vacation in Portugal.🚙🚩🌄

Hola amigos aventureros! hoy vamos a realizar un sendero que es muy famoso en la region de Leiria por sus hermosos paisajes, el punto de origen es en la aldea das fontes y subiremos mas de 400 metros de altura, pasaremos por las sierras montañosas de: "Maunça y Senhora do Monte" para culminar nuestra aventura en el mismo punto de origen ya que es un sendero circular! sin embargo podras ver en mi aventura hermosos paisajes que bordean Leiria y que te motivara a tus proximas aventuras si piensas vacacionar en Portugal.👨🦯🚵♀️🌳

Our adventure begins here in the village of Fontes, which is a small town famous because it is bordered by the Lis river, then we must locate the notice that tells us that we must walk in the direction of the "Serra da Maunça" as you see in the Although the sign indicates that it is 3.7 km, the path actually has an extension of 11 km in total, which is equivalent to a total of almost four hours of walking!🌄🚩
Nuestra aventura comienza aqui en la aldea das fontes, que es un pequeño pueblo famoso porque es bordeado por el rio Lis, luego debemos ubicar el aviso que nos indica que debemos caminar en sentido a la "Serra da Maunça" tal y como ves en el letrero, aunque indica que son 3,7km en realidad el sendero tiene una extension de 11km en total, lo que equivale a un total de casi cuatro horas de caminata!🌄🌳🧭
It is extremely important to respect the trail and for this we must pay close attention to our signs, this will prevent us from getting lost and make a safe walk, it is easy to get lost in the mountain forest🌍🧭
Es sumamente importante respetar el sendero y para ello debemos prestar mucha atencion a nuestras señalizaciones, esto nos evitara perdernos y realizar una caminata segura, es facil perdernos en el bosque de la montaña📚🌍

The trails in Portugal are classified into 4 categories, easy, medium, moderate and difficult! This is how the difficulty of a trail is measured. This one here is medium since we have to make big climbs and we will need a lot of physical resistance. If you are not used to hiking and walking a lot, then I do not recommend venturing into this trail, but If you are sporty and adventurous like me then cheer up because it will be a great challenge! From now on I warn you it is not suitable for children or people with motor disabilities! We will walk 11 km, we will climb more than 400 meters high and we must wear the appropriate clothing.💚💚
Los senderos en Portugal se clasifican en 4 categorias, facil, medio, moderado y dificil! es asi como se mide la dificultad de un sendero, este de aqui es medio ya que tenemos que realizar grandes subidas y necesitaremos de bastante resistencia fisica, si no estas habituado a realizar senderos y caminar mucho entonces no te recomiendo aventurarte en este sendero, pero si eres deportista y aventurero como yo entonces animate porque sera un gran reto! desde ya te aviso no es apto para niños ni personas con discapacidad motoras! caminaremos 11km subiremos mas de 400 metros de altura y debemos llevar la ropa adecuada.🦾🧠🦿

As mentioned, the Trail begins in the aldeia das fontes, here we can enjoy a beautiful landscape where very old colonial houses merge with nature and the Lis river, we have as a point of visit the local church built and restored from the century XVIII, we can also make a detour and visit the source of the Lis river that I had already published in my previous post! therefore it is a good start to visit many interesting things, while we will go up through the village in the direction of the mountains!😋😎
Tal y como lo mencione el Sendero comienza en la aldeia das fontes, aqui podemos disfrutar de un bonito paisaje donde las casas coloniales muy antiguas se fusionan con la naturaleza y el rio Lis, tenemos como punto de visita la iglesia local construida y restaurada del siglo XVIII, podemos tambien hacer un desvio y visitar la nasciente del rio Lis que ya la habia publicado en mi post anterior! por tanto es un buen comienzo para visitar muchas cosas interesantes, mientras iremos subiendo por la aldea en direccion a las sierras!😄😄

After forty minutes of walking we decided to make a stop to hydrate and eat some fruits, at this point we were a bit nervous because we hadn't seen a signpost for 10 minutes, which made us question if we were going the right way xD But that's how the trails in Portugal are, some are so confusing that it's normal to feel like you're lost!😅😅
Luego de cuarenta minutos de caminata decidimos realizar una parada para hidratarnos y comer algunas frutas, en este punto estabamos un poco nerviosos porque desde hacia 10 minutos de subida no habiamos visto ni una señalizacion lo que nos hizo cuestionar si estabamos yendo por el camino correcto xD pero asi son los senderos de Portugal algunos son tan confusos que es normal sentirte que estas perdido!🤩🌄🧊🍌🍏
Serra da Maunça🙇♂️🧭/Sierra da Maunça🚩🌍
At this point on the trail we had reached the Serra da Maunça, which is our first mountain range to visit until we reach our final destination, which is the Senhora do Monte mountain range, which at the same time is our highest point on the trail, as you can see, it is a place Further away from the village, at this point we have privacy with nature and we can enjoy a bit of the Mediterranean landscape, we can see many birds, snakes, mammals! So far we have traveled approximately two and a half kilometers, let's remember that there are 11 in total🌄🚵♀️
En este punto del sendero habiamos llegado a la Serra da Maunça que es nuestra primera sierra a visitar hasta llegar a nuestro destino final que es la sierra Senhora do Monte que al mismo tiempo es nuestro punto mas alto del sendero, como puedes ver es un sitio mas alejado de la aldea, en este punto tenemos una privacidad con la naturaleza y podemos disfrutar un poco del paisaje mediterranico, podemos ver muchas aves, serpientes, mamiferos! hasta ahora recorrimos aproximadamente unos dos kilometros y medio recordemos que son 11 en total💚🧠🦾😄

It is a feeling of peace and tranquility when you leave the village and enter the small eucalyptus forests of the mountains, although it may not seem like it, we are going to climb one of the highest mountain peaks in central Portugal and without a doubt the highest de Leiria therefore there are many objectives to achieve, adding that the landscape is quite beautiful in winter!🌍🧭
Es una sensacion de paz y tranquilidad cuando te alejas de la aldea y te adentras a los pequeños bosques de eucalipto de las sierras, aunque no lo parezca vamos a escalar uno de los picos montañosos mas altos del centro de Portugal y sin duda el mas alto de Leiria por tanto hay muchos objetivos que cumplir, sumando que el paisaje es bastante bonito en invierno!📚🌍

We had already walked more than 5 kilometers and we were climbing the highest point of the trail, here things got difficult xD the mountain really demanded a lot from us, but as you can see the view was fantastic, we can see the entire city of Leiria and at background the atlantic coast!🌄🧠😄
Ya habiamos caminado mas de 5 kilometros y estabamos subiendo el punto mas alto del sendero, aqui la cosa se ponia dificil xD de verdad la montaña nos exigio bastante, pero como puedes ver la vista era fantastica, podemos ver toda la ciudad de Leiria y al fondo la costa atlantica!😎🚩🌳

And we achieved it, we reached the highest point of Leiria and with this we completed the route of the trail, the other 3 km is to take a shortcut and reach the starting point, so the trail says that there are 11 km in total, we were very excited because I think which was so far the longest trail I did with my friend Jose, my adventure partner!😎😎🚩
Y lo conseguimos llegamos al punto mas alto de Leiria y con esto completamos el recorrido del sendero, los otros 3 kilometros es para tomar un atajo y llegar al punto de partida por eso el sendero dice que son 11km en total, estabamos muy emocionados porque creo que era hasta ahora el sendero mas largo que hice con mi amigo Jose mi compañero de aventuras!🏆🏆

The landscape is beautiful as you can see at sunset, it was a fantastic experience and completing it with my friend is something that brought us closer together and gave us greater satisfaction! I recommend you visit Leiria on your vacation to Portugal. It is worth visiting those hidden places that my country offers!
El paisaje es hermoso como puedes notar en la puesta del sol, fue una experiencia fantastica y haberla completado con mi amigo es algo que nos unio mas y nos dio mayor satisfaccion! te recomiendo visitar leiria en tus vacaciones hacia portugal vale la pena visitar esos sitios escondidos que ofrece mi pais!
