I Needed a Change with My Hair ~ [Spa-Eng]

  Saludos Comunidad de #PhotoEssay. Un gusto estar aquí hoy y compartir como primer post de muchos, el poder contarles el proceso y la experiencia de cortarme el cabello por segunda vez y obtener finalmente el estilo que deseaba por tanto tiempo.

𝙳𝚎 𝙵𝚛𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚎	𝙰𝚕 𝚁𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚘

  Si, así como lo leyeron al principio. Yo misma me corté el cabello. Decidí hacer esto luego de ver tantos videos tutoriales por YouTube y también de saber el costo de un corte de cabello aquí en mi ciudad. Unos 20$ cobran, sin meter el secado que le suman unos 10$ más. Para la mayoría de ustedes puede resultar bastante económico pero en mi caso no.

  Esos 20$ me han costado reunirlos aquí en #Hive. De hecho la gran mayoría fue un regalo de parte de mi hermano por mi cumpleaños pero el hecho es que usé ese dinero que tenía disponible para comprarme unos medicamentos que necesito tomar por el resto de mi vida. Así que preferí usarlos para invertir y reponer tales medicinas.

  Así que ir a la peluquería en estos tiempos que se viven en Venezuela, es un total lujo (al menos para mí). Y la verdad es que necesitaba con urgencia un nuevo corte de cabello, estos calores en la zona donde vivo son insoportables y el área de la nuca me suda mucho. Por lo que el cabello no me duraba limpio.

𝙼𝚘𝚍𝚘 𝚂𝚎𝚛𝚒𝚘	𝙼𝚘𝚍𝚘 𝚁𝚒𝚜𝚊𝚜

  A mi me encantan los cortes de cabello Pixie, son mis favoritos desde que lo probé una vez. Pero al tenerlo largo por tanto tiempo, también quise conservar su longitud, esa que tanto me ha costado alcanzar. Además que el cabello super corto requiere de mucho mantenimiento para mantenerlo así, es decir, ir cada mes a refrescar el corte, o sea no, no me sirve.

  Entonces que me llegó la idea, ¿Por qué no tener lo mejor de ambos mundos? Modo Pixie + Modo Largo. Y así descubrí el Undercut y me encantó la idea. El corte más sencillo que conseguí se llama Corte Mariposa que consiste en separar el cabello en dos partes y cortar las puntas. Así hice al principio, luego fui por la segunda parte que fue cortar mi flequillo, también con el estilo mariposa, para mantener la armonía.

  Hasta allí todo bien, pero la dificultad vino al momento de dividir el cabello lo más exacto posible para pasar la máquina en nivel 0. Le pedí ayuda a mi mamá, quien hizo un grandioso trabajo pasarme la máquina pero la división lamentablemente quedó desprolija así que tuve que nivelarlo y separarme con calma el cabello, ya que tenía varios mechones mal cortados (unos más largos que otros).

  Ese segundo rapado lo hice totalmente sola, ya que mi mamá estuvo bastante nerviosa en todo el proceso la primera vez, decidí dejarla tranquila para la segunda ronda. Por eso se nota en algunas fotos el desnivel en la altura de la cien. En adelante sólo espero que crezca y mensualmente le estaré haciendo mantenimiento yo misma aquí en mi casa sin molestar a nadie. 😁

  Ahora si me siento conforme con cómo quedó mi nuevo look, con toques #Punk que era lo que buscaba ya que tengo un lado Rockero y este estilo me permite peinarlo de diferentes maneras. Suelto, con cola, con gancheta. Perfecto para mi personalidad, simplemente amo cómo me quedó.

  ¿Ustedes qué opinan? ¿Se han cortado el cabello ustedes mismos alguna vez? Yo pienso que hice un excelente trabajo para no tener experiencia en el área. Además de que esta vivencia me brindó aumentar la confianza en mi misma y me hizo apreciar lo noble que es mi cabello. Bueno hasta aquí mi post. ¡Hasta la próxima! 💕

  Greetings #PhotoEssay Community. A pleasure to be here today and share as the first post of many, to tell you about the process and experience of cutting my hair for the second time and finally getting the style I wanted for so long.

𝙵𝚛𝚘𝚗𝚝	𝚁𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚎

  Yes, just as you read it at the beginning. I cut my hair. I decided to do this after watching so many tutorial videos on YouTube and also after knowing the cost of a haircut here in my city. About $20 they charge, without putting in the blow dry which adds about $10 more. For most of you, it might be pretty cheap, but not for me.

  That $20 was hard for me to scrape together here on #Hive. The vast majority of it was a gift from my brother for my birthday, but the fact is that I used that money I had available to buy me some medicines that I needed to take for the rest of my life. So I preferred to use them to invest and replenish such medicines.

  So going to the hairdresser in these times in Venezuela is a total luxury (at least for me). And the truth is that I urgently needed a new haircut, this heat in the area where I live is unbearable and the area of the nape of my neck sweats a lot. So my hair didn't stay clean for long.

𝚂𝚎𝚛𝚒𝚘𝚞𝚜 𝙼𝚘𝚍𝚎	𝙻𝚊𝚞𝚐𝚑 𝙼𝚘𝚍𝚎

  I love Pixie haircuts, they've been my favorite since I tried it once. But having had it long for so long, I also wanted to keep the length I've been struggling to achieve. Besides, super short hair requires a lot of maintenance to keep it that way, I mean, going every month to refresh the cut, so no, it doesn't work for me.

  So the idea came to me, why not have the best of both worlds? Pixie Mode + Long Mode. And so I discovered the Undercut and loved the idea. The simplest cut I got is called the Butterfly Cut which consists of separating the hair into two parts and cutting the ends. That's what I did at first, then I went for the second part which was to cut my bangs, also with the butterfly style, to keep the harmony.

  So far so good, but the difficulty came at the moment of dividing the hair as accurately as possible to pass the machine at level 0. I asked my mom for help, who did a great job to pass me the machine but unfortunately, the division was messy so I had to level it and separate my hair calmly, as I had several badly cut locks (some longer than others).

  That second shave I did alone since my mom was quite nervous in the whole process the first time, I decided to leave her alone for the second round. That's why you can see in some of the pictures the unevenness in the height of the hundred. From now on I just hope it will grow and monthly I will be doing maintenance myself here at home without bothering anyone. 😁

  Now I'm happy with my new look, with #Punk touches which is what I was looking for since I have a Rocker side and this style allows me to change my hair in different ways. Loose, with a ponytail, with a hook. Perfect for my personality, I just love the way it looks.
