The body knows it; it knows that today is #ThreeTuneTuesday or #TTT, an initiative proposed by @ablaze, where many Hivers recommend three songs according to their genre or artist or simply because you like them a lot. Today, I want to dedicate this post to a Chilean band that I became a fan of in 2008. Today I will tell you a little bit about Kudai.

El dรญa de hoy quiero dedicar este post a una agrupaciรณn Chilena de la que me hice fan en el 2008. Hoy les hablarรฉ un poco de Kudai.
ย Where are the fans of Kudai, does anyone know what happened to them? This post is dedicated to this Chilean band that was born in 1999 by four teenagers named Bรกrbara Sepรบlveda, Tomรกs Manzi, Nicole Natalino, and Pablo Holman**.
ย This group clicked with me through their music when I heard them for the first time in 2008 with their album Nadha. The thing is that these guys are characterized by singing pop, pop-rock, and emo-pop music. Yes, those times of that peculiar style that was not gothic or rebellious but a group of misunderstood teenagers that were between being depressive and being gloomy or gothic.
ย I never understood that fashion, nor that stage through which many teenagers went through, but I understood perfectly the depth of the lyrics of their songs captured in this album that marked me so much.
ย In Nadha, they impregnate their listeners with songs that talk about suffering, loneliness, abandonment, mistreatment, and heartbreak. Everything that a teenager could suffer from depression in those days, however, in my case, I was going through my stage of severe depression naturally because my body predisposed me to it.
ย So Kudai was, for a few months, my favorite band because through their songs, I felt identified. It was like listening to what I wanted to shout with all my strength, and I never dared to do it. They did it for me. They were my emotional support when I needed them the most, and that's how I ended up becoming a fan.
ย However, their other albums didn't click as much as Nadha did. For me, it is their best musical work by far. On the other hand, I must point out that they started under the name Ciaoas, a more โpositiveโ children's/youth band.
ย It was when they moved into their teenage stage that they changed their style and name. They were active with the main members from 1999 until 2006. It was that year when Nicole Natalino left the band and was replaced by an Ecuadorian singer named Gabriela Villalba.
ย Kudai and its new members continued to be active for four more years. In 2010, they officially announced their definitive separation, but to the surprise of many of their fans, in 2016, they decided to return once again to remember old times.
ย Although they didn't release new music until 2019 with their album Laberinto and later another one called Revuelo in 2021, I understand they will release a new single this February 20 of this year called Karma.
ย The group ended up splitting up because the Ecuadorian Gabriela Villalba left the band in 2009, but nowadays, times have changed so much that all the members, from the ones who founded the group to the one who was considered the new one, will form the band now as a Quintet and this song that will be released in 2 days will be interpreted by the collaboration of all five of them.
ย So basically we have Kudai for a while. I look forward to hearing their new music, whose songs show maturity and emotional/personal growth during all these years of experience.
ย ยฟDรณnde estรกn los fans de Kudai? ยฟAlguien sabe quรฉ fue de ellos? Este post va dedicado a esta banda chilena que naciรณ en el aรฑo 1999 por cuatro adolescentes llamados: Bรกrbara Sepรบlveda, Tomรกs Manzi, Nicole Natalino y Pablo Holman.
ย Este grupo hizo clic conmigo a travรฉs de su mรบsica cuando los escuchรฉ por primera vez en el 2008 con su disco Nadha. Y es que estos chicos se caracterizan por cantar mรบsica pop, pop-rock y emo pop. Si, aquellos tiempos de ese peculiar estilo que no era gรณtico ni rebelde sino un grupo de adolescentes incomprendidos que estaban entre ser depresivos y ser lรบgubres o gรณticos.
ย Nunca entendรญ esa moda, ni esa etapa por la que pasaron muchos adolescentes pero si entendรญ a la perfecciรณn la profundidad de las letras de sus canciones plasmadas en este disco que me marcรณ tanto.
ย En Nadha, impregnan a su oyentes con canciones que hablan del sufrimiento, la soledad, el abandono, el maltrato y el desamor. Bรกsicamente todo por lo que un adolescente podรญa sufrir de depresiรณn en aquellos dรญas, sin embargo en mi caso, yo de por sรญ estaba pasando por mi etapa de depresiรณn severa de manera natural porque mi organismo asรญ lo predispuso.
ย Asรญ que Kudai fue por unos cuantos meses mi agrupaciรณn favorita porque a travรฉs de sus canciones me sentรญ identificada, fue como escuchar lo que querรญa gritar con todas mis fuerzas y nunca me atrevรญ a hacerlo. Ellos lo hicieron por mรญ. Fueron mi apoyo emocional cuando mรกs los necesitรฉ y fue asรญ que terminรฉ haciรฉndome fan.
ย Sin embargo sus otros discos no congeniaron tanto como lo hizo Nadha. Para mรญ es su mejor trabajo musical por mucho. Por otro lado debo acotar que ellos empezaron bajo el nombre de Ciao, como una banda infantil/juvenil mรกs "positiva".
ย Fue cuando pasaron a su etapa adolescente que ellos cambiaron su estilo y nombre. Ellos estuvieron activos con los integrantes principales desde 1999 hasta el 2006. Fue ese aรฑo en el que Nicole Natalino abandonรณ la banda y fue sustituida por una cantante ecuatoriana llamada Gabriela Villalba.
ย Kudai y su nueva integrante continuรณ activo 4 aรฑos mรกs. En 2010 anunciaron oficialmente su separaciรณn de manera definitiva, pero para sorpresa de muchos de sus fans, en 2016 decidieron regresar una vez mรกs para recordar viejos tiempos.
ย Aunque no sacaron nueva mรบsica sino hasta 2019 con su disco Laberinto y mรกs tarde otro mรกs llamado Revuelo en 2021, tengo entendido que sacarรกn un nuevo sencillo este 20 de febrero del presente aรฑo que se llamarรก Karma.
ย Y es que el grupo se terminรณ separando porque la ecuatoriana Gabriela Villalba abandonรณ la banda en el 2009, pero actualmente, los tiempos han cambiado tanto que todos los integrantes, desde los que fundaron la agrupaciรณn hasta quien se considerรณ la nueva del grupo, formarรกn la banda ahora como un Quinteto y esta canciรณn que estrenarรกn en 2 dรญas estarรก interpretado por la colaboraciรณn de los cinco.
ย Asรญ que bรกsicamente tenemos Kudai para rato. Yo espero ansiosa escuchar su nueva mรบsica, cuyas canciones muestran madures y crecimiento emocional/personal durante todos estos aรฑos de experiencia.

ย Although it can be heard and understood as a love/waste song, for me, this song was something more. It perfectly described my depressive feelings about the absence of someone I knew (myself in this case) because, being this bad, I didn't recognize myself and was desperate to get back to being the healthy Ivanna.
ย Aunque se puede escuchar y entender como una canciรณn de amor/despecho, para mรญ esta canciรณn fue algo mรกs. Describiรณ a la perfecciรณn mis sentimientos depresivos por la ausencia de alguien que conocรญa (a mรญ misma en este caso) ya que al estar asรญ de mal, no me reconocรญa y estaba desesperada por volver a ser la Ivanna saludable.

ย One of my favorites is this song I don't remember how many times I heard it. It talks about wanting to run away from a place where you feel judged and criticized for being and feeling different.

ย This song is a classic for me. It talks about toxic relationships with people we love but who hurt us so much that it is better to walk away than to continue living like that. During that year I remember that I was very unhappy, people looked for me a lot when they needed something, I think that for as long as I can remember people have been like that with me.
ย Esta canciรณn para mรญ es un clรกsico. Habla de relaciones tรณxicas con personas que amamos pero que nos hacen tanto daรฑo que es mejor alejarse que seguir viviendo asรญ. Durante ese aรฑo recuerdo que fui muy infeliz, las personas me buscaban mucho cuando necesitaban algo, creo que desde que tengo memoria la gente ha sido asรญ conmigo.
