Every day Salvador has his respective walks, about 2 or 3 a day, he obviously enjoys them, and even more now in the new house where he has more to smell and make new furry friends.
If it were up to him he would stay all day and night sniffing and walking, many times when the walk is over and we are going to go up he doesn't want to, a little force is put on his chain to make him walk and he stays static applying force, in those cases we have to carry him and bring him up like that.
He has his own tactic to let us know he wants to go out, he sits in a place in the house where we can see him and makes eye contact, as if making pressure with his eyes, he does not throw laser beams because he cannot.
At his old age he still gets happy when shown his chain and never refuses a walk, no matter what time it is. Whenever we go out we meet other friends of his who are younger and want to play but Salvador, who is already a grown man, gets grumpy and prefers to be alone and go for a quiet walk.
Occasionally, at night when there are no cars or other dogs around, we let him loose, he takes this time of freedom very seriously and pretends to be alone, sometimes he starts to run and we have to go after him trying to catch him.
We must always keep in mind that they need their daily walks, these are very beneficial for their health, and for ours too. Let's try as much as possible to take the time to give them their well-deserved walk because it helps them to remove stress.
Let's not forget that as we are living beings that also have their needs and require attention, let's not overlook when they ask for their needs with their eyes or squeals.
And also important, let's pick up their waste, it costs nothing to carry a bag and leave it in the garbage can, that avoids inconvenience to people and some evil to a pet or other animal that frequents the area, as there are ill-intentioned people who place poison, do not let them sniff a place, eat or lick something they find there.
Todos los días Salvador tiene sus respectivos paseos, son unos 2 o 3 al día, él obviamente los disfruta, y más ahora en la nueva casa donde tiene más para poder oler y hacer nuevos amigos peludos.
Si fuese por él se quedaría todo el día y noche oliendo y caminando, muchas veces cuando ya termina el paseo y vamos a subir no quiere, se le hace un poco de fuerza en su cadena para que camine y él se queda estático aplicando fuerza, en esos casos toca cargarlo y subirlo así.
Tiene su propia táctica para hacernos saber que quiere salir, se sienta en un lugar de la casa donde lo podamos ver y hace contacto visual, como haciendo presión con la mirada, no lanza rayos láser porque no puede.
A su larga edad aún sigue poniéndose alegre cuando le muestran su cadena y nunca se niega a un paseo, sea la hora que sea. Siempre que salimos nos encontramos con otros amigos de él que son más jóvenes y quieren jugar pero Salvador que ya es todo un señor se pone de gruñón, prefiere estar solo y dar su paseo tranquilo.
De vez en cuando, en la noche cuando ya no pasan los carros o no hay otros perros por ahí lo soltamos, el se toma muy en serio ese tiempo de libertad y hace como si fuese solo, en ocasiones se pone a correr y toca ir detrás de él intentando agarrarlo.
Hay que tener siempre presente que ellos necesitan sus paseos diarios, estos son muy beneficiosos para su salud, y para la de nosotros también. Intentemos en lo más posible sacar el tiempo para darles su merecido paseo ya que eso los ayuda a quitar estrés.
No olvidemos que como nosotros son seres vivos que también tienen sus necesidades y requieren atención, no pasemos por alto cuando nos pidan con la mirada o chillidos su necesidad.
Y también importante, recoger sus desechos, no cuesta nada llevar una bolsita y dejarla en la papelera, eso le evita molestias a las personas y algún mal a una mascota u otro animal que frecuente la zona, ya que hay personas mal intencionadas que colocan veneno, no hay que dejar que olfateen mucho un lugar, coman o laman algo que encuentran por ahí.
