An old-fashioned painting by me

I started a new series of oil paintings, oil on canvas, using an ancient style but keeping my usual subjects.
Here is the first one, a 50x50 cm oil on canvas, "Reader in the woods":

Below, some steps of the work. It took around a week.

This is indeed a very beautiful painting, a great work of art.

Nice work....keep it up ...I also paint but mostly with acrylic. Do you also use acrylic paint ?
