I've shared multiple posts about my carnivore lifestyle and the multitude of benefits it has enhanced my life with. Recently, on vacation, I went off the rails pretty bad with regards to ingesting carbs and processed sugars and I regretted it almost instantly. There was an almost immediate onset of depression, fatigue, inflammation, and other ailments.
So to remedy this, I went back to a fairly strict carnivore eliminating almost everything except meat and water with a small amount of cheese. After about a day or so I'm back to feeling in top condition and wanted to share today's meal prep to get me through work the next few days.
Anyone who has tried changing their eating habits can attest to the difficulty in doing so for a myriad of reasons and I have found the key for me was to be meal prep as much as possible so I never have to go "looking" for food. It seems that is where I get into a bit of trouble.
So today was a combination of 5 ribeyes, two feta cheeseburgers, and 5 Italian sausage with stuffed provolone and romano cheese. Unlike some carnivores, I have no issues using seasonings and the above picture features the seasonings used for this prep. I used garlic powder, Kinder's burger, and black pepper for the burgers and sausage and the Montreal, Kinder's Buttery Steak, and black pepper for the steaks. The meat was marinated in Dale's steak seasoning and a GENEROUS heaping of minced garlic.
I ate the burgers and three of the sausage for lunch (my only meal for today) and I split three of the ribeyes and two sausages into containers for the next two days of lunch at work. The remaining two steaks are for my wife to use as she wants. I'll cook up another batch of meals on Friday.
The above picture is of today's lunch meal and it was so much better than any picture could do justice to. I had gotten back to eating two meals a day but with the severe reactions to the vacation food, I decided to go back to OMAD (one meal a day) for a bit for the benefits associated with intermittent fasting.
Now I am just sitting here drinking my afternoon coffee and getting my mind right to attend jiu jitsu and take my beatings tonight lololol Thanks so much for reading my post and remember that I love each of you and you all deserve someone to look at you the way I do a ribeye!!!
