Hi Splinterlands friends,
Today I was Lucky and opened a Gladius pack with Flagulon Reine
Legendary Water Monster inside one of the 5 cards.
Little Talk about Guild and Brawl
This Legendry monster only can be get by participating in Brawl and gaining merits though your Guild
So you need to:
- be in a good guild (mine is Booty Lickers with Store Level 4 Arena 1)
- be sure your guild has a good brawl result and get good amount of merits for each brawl(mine is about 1000 to 1200 merits each brawl) while each 2000 merits is equal to one Gladius pack
As you may know the gladius monster can only be used in Brawl and no usage in daily Rank Battles. Todays Splinterlands just give us merits which u only can buy Gladius packs with it, but maybe in future Splinterlands team motivate players to be more active in Brawl so you also can get SPS or Dec in Brawl :)
Currently many players are interested to attend in Brawl and at the time of writing this post there are 567 Guilds in Arena Tier 1 and 134 Guilds in Arena Tier 2 (subject to increase montly). OF course higher Arena means more merits your guild can get but tougher matches your whole guild you are in can face each Brawl, as top guilds from rank 1 to 100 are in Arena Tier 2.
So why is this Monster Gladius so important?
This Monster has 2 abilities at Level 1 :
- You may already know Grum Flameblade Legendary Fire monster with BloodLust ability. (BloodList ability means Every time it defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats and in the Reverse Speed ruleset, -1 to Speed).
- It also has Blast ability which means it does additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster and this additional damage is equivalent to main damage divided by 2, rounded up.
It is interesting to know Flagulon Reine is the only Gladius monster with blast ability and it makes it unique. It can be used to destroy the background tank heal montsers in enemies team and pretty much like Ruler of the Seas Legendary Water plus bloodlust ability.
Background Lore
You may also be insterested to know that Flagulon Reine based on Splinterlands Lore was not born of a mother, but delivered from the sky as an infant by Kralus the sacred flying tige, and I can make a conclusion that a little infant inside a basket in Kralus Legendary Life picture is actually that Flagulon Reine :) . interesting!! isnt it?

Splinterlands is a digital, collectible card game built on blockchain technology. It is similar in concept to games like Magic the Gathering and Hearthstone where you build up a collection of cards, which all have various different stats and abilities, and use them to battle other players in skill-based matches. By using blockchain technology, players can buy, sell, and trade their digital assets freely just as if they were physical cards, and all transactions are recorded publicly and immutably.
