One of those very special days, where nature sang its song.
I will show you the changes in the day.
It is summer now in the Southern Hemisphere, and it's reckoned that Australia will be the hottest country on record. South Africa where we live will run it a close second. Something in our favour is that the Cape is at the most southern tip of the African continent, and another bonus is that we are right next to the cold Atlantic Ocean.
The winds rule here, and it can change the weather on any day at the drop of a hat, and that's what you will see in here. Thankfully we have learned to live with the quick fire changes, although at times I can still get caught out with an unexpected cold and wet shower.
But such is life, and come to see what I have to share.
Early morning mist and rain.
The wind started to clear the rain in the afternoon, and I saw that the clouds would be making a lovely sunset.
So, when the sunset time arrived, we travelled to a high spot to watch the show. Two shots below when we were driving out.
And then we saw the sunset on the sea from the high spot.
The buildings in the shade on the horizon are at the seafront.
Some great sunrays in the shot below.
I have taken many shots of the sunset, but these were my selection to share with all of you.
And finally, the day culminated with the December full moon.
Just like a slow-mo movie, as the pictures unfolded themselves to our eyes, and as they did that, so gradually starting to reveal its beauty.
Let me tell you that we have some stunning sunsets that appear later in the summer, and for those, we will go down to the beach, as it's great to get a sunset on the sea.
The message here is not to take any day as mundane, as the winds will strongly disagree with you. My way of facing the days, is to be prepared for sudden changes like this, and quite often I get it right. So, the dreary morning rain was changed into a symphony of colors. Just as I like it, and it pays to be prepared.
I hope that you enjoyed the pictures and the story. I also hope that it left you with a serene sense of mind, as the beauty of nature does for me.
