We arrived back home a bit late near the end of sunset.
So, I managed to get a few shots, but then a surprise arrived.
A sound that I instantly recognised drew my attention away from the sunset, and suddenly the reason for the sound appeared. We have one of the old original biplanes here at the local airfield, and occasionally it gets taken for a spin, in order to keep the motor in shape.
Now this is no ordinary plane, as it is a rare model, and I was told that it has a long history. I think it is a Boeing Stearman Biplane that participated in WWII.
Come and see how this one circled over us up ahead.
That's when I first saw the plane, and that half-round tail cannot be mistaken.
Then I thought that it was gone, but not so as you will see below.
In the meantime, here were some gulls on their way home.
Here we go, as the plane returned and I think that maybe the pilot saw me below with my camera.
Reason being, that he came straight in my direction, but I don't really think that he saw me as I was standing in our small front garden with my camera.
This was the last that I could get of the plane as it flew over the house, and the roof hid it from sight.
Finally, just a final view of the sunset as night was rapidly setting in.
So, my thought was to take the sunset and life decided to change my thought by sending this old plane over. It happens to me often lately, as due to my chronic iron level count my head has started to become fuzzy. Just last night, I walked into the bedroom to undress for a shower, and low and behold I got dressed again to go and take the shower. Imagine that, and so I just had to return to the bedroom to get undressed again:))
Lately my balance is all over the place, and I have already had a few falls and bumps against the head. But my wife is a wonderful person, and now she drags me around by holding on to my shirt when I walk in order for me not to capsize again. But life goes on and there is no space for small talk. I only wonder what people would think if they see my wife dragging an old man around with his camera. Not that it bothers me.
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
