Some random shots of a beautiful sunset on the ocean.
I said in the previous post that I would share a sunset today.
We often have some wonderful sunsets in this area, be it inland on the mountains or on the sea, it all depends where one is. Stunning cloud formations and the sun form a tapestry of lovely colors. The trick is to get the sinking sun close to the mountains on the horizon. In this case a long red cloud formed and cruised its way over the ocean driven by a fairly strong wind, and that's the thing about the sunsets here, as they don't last long. And if you are not in the right spot to see the development of the scenes, then you will be sure to miss it. Thankfully, I have discovered a fairly good spot to witness the beauty.

So sad that I couldn't show you how that red cloud reflected on the dam below.
And then the sun was gone, but the colors intensified.
I got that plane flying with the sunset, and I am sure that the passengers enjoyed the colors.

And finally, that's how the red worm cloud began.
It is both a happy and sad time each day when the sun drops below the horizon. It is happy because it is still warm and beautiful, and the day brings rest for humans and nature. But it is sad to say goodbye to the sun, and the birds must fly home. But I have to say that soon after, when it's dark, the frog and cricket choruses near the river start their music. So, it is not really a sad situation for the morrow will bring another sunset. A friend called to tell us that there are a pair of barn owls sitting on their roof every night, and I would love to get a photo of them, but my camera is not very good with night shots. In the past I battled with light to get shots of some giant fruit bats eating the fruit of a palm tree that we had at our previous home, and I think only once did I get something suitable to post. Since we moved from that place, the new owner cut the palm tree down and now it is history. We are strange as humans with our likes and our dislikes, but it is the norm, and one just has to get used to it as it would be boring if we all liked the same things. That's what makes life so interesting.
