My idea was to climb on the roof to get the full moon on the mountains.
The moon was low on the horizon and I only saw a black spot, thinking that it was a big bird. But as you can see, it was in fact a plane.
It was a full moon on the 25th here in the Western Cape Province of South Africa, and I don't know what the date or the time was for the full moon to be seen in Europe and the other countries. Our day was bedeviled by strange cloud patterns, but thankfully later at nightfall, there was an open space between the clouds that gave me a chance to get the moon.
I will show you a strange cloud formation below the 2 shots of the plane on the moon.
It looked like a raven that came over earlier.
Now have a look at this cloud formation below.
And then the sunset started to color the cloud.
And finally, a "V" formation of birds heading for home.
I don't climb on the roof very often anymore these days, as the high stepladder leaves me with leg cramps at night in bed. But the full moon is irresistible, and I was up to the challenge. So, cramps, or no cramps, I made it and for a change I didn't have any cramps in my bad leg later in bed. We usually drive out into the countryside to get the moon, but when it's late at night, then it is not safe out there anymore.
Now I am happy that I decided to climb on the roof of our house, a bit too late, as I wanted to get the moon on the mountain peaks, and it had already cleared the mountains. But the plane made up for it, as if I was a minute later, there would have been no plane.
Life works like this.
I hope you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.
