So maybe this will give you some smiles.
We attended a Dog Fun show on the weekend, and I don't know who was more excited, the dogs, or their owners.
A pity that it was a misty day, but the dogs didn't mind, and they all brought their owners out to this dog party. Dogs are very intelligent, and they have their owners think that they are in charge, but in fact it's the dogs that bark the odds. There were dogs here of all sizes and shapes and it was a bark here and a bark there all of the time. So, I can tell you that the dogs had a lovely barking day.
There were lots of stalls either selling or offering activities to the parents and the children.
First place that we headed to was the obstacle course, to watch the dogs race through the hoops and other obstacles.
It was quite a large field and the dogs had to run through and jump over obstacles and into tunnels on the way around anti-clockwise.
An official announcer opened the show.
First up was the reigning champion, and this guy flew through and over the obstacles at a record pace. All of the dogs clapped and barked applause in admiration for this guy's expertise.
This little one thought he would do it all at a leisurely pace to the great laughter of the other dogs.
What? Do you want me to run through these silly things like those other ruffians?
Oh, my goodness, can't you see that I am a classy dog, and I don't engage in these silly games. Zac, can't you tell her that I belong on a stage?
Sorry madam, you are confusing me with something else and I would rather go and sit to have you serve me a parfait.
This guy wanted nothing to do with the obstacle course, and he rather ran around to do some other things.
Finally, this lady's dog decided to head for the hills halfway through the course. You can see the dog sitting at the tree at the left, shouting at him to come back.
Oh yeah, there was much fun to be had for the dogs and their owners, and there were also some other activities for the dogs, such as a fancy dress occasion, the dirtiest dog, the scruffiest dog, the champion biscuit catcher, and others. There were also food trucks and stone painting for the children. So, everyone had a good time. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay for the entire morning as we also had another appointment, but I am sure that all ended well. What I do know, is that they plan to do this fun day every year.
