We were expecting rain and although it looked promising, the weather played a trick on us.
As usual, I was out there with my camera to show you some delightful colors.
And to spite us as we left, there were small fairy raindrops on the car's windscreen as a reminder that we will have rain when nature decides to send us rain. I feel for the weather prediction staff as they must be just as scrambled with the weather conditions as what we are with our many power cuts lately. Things are definitely not predictable, and everything seems to be upside down.
But enough talk and come to see what I want to share with you today.
At times there was light, and I thought that it was the advancing clouds before the dark rain clouds would arrive.
I was standing in the middle of a grape vineyard below when I took this shot.
Here was a sunspot on a farm at the base of the mountain.
Oh, crown ye the mountain peaks with clouds. (My own words)
This was the closest that we came to a rainy sight and not a drop fell.
Drat! I wanted to get the bird right in the center of the blue sky, but the wind beat me, by moving the clouds too fast.
And finally, it was dark on the hill where I was standing, as the sun lit up the mountain range in the distance.
My attempt at a short poem here;
Oh, crown ye the mountain peaks with clouds,
to please the eyes of the wandering crowds.
Show the stoic mountains in strength,
as they stand for time's length.
You have seen many ships in sail,
and know that mankind is frail.
Stand then as a beacon of hope,
as life is difficult to cope.
Zac Smith.
By now many of you know that I love the mountains, and they do indeed inspire me with hope. Hope for myself, but also hope for all others.
I find so many lately that are not happy in life as the poor struggle and the rich have extra struggles of their own. One thing that I have noticed, is that the poor are friendlier than the rich. Is it because they have nothing to lose? No, the poor have become used to coping with their circumstances and the rich will never have enough.
Note that I am not judging anyone, as I have enough troubles of my own, but in the work that we do, it has become a treasure chest of experiences in life. Not one of us will live forever and I have seen a change in some people's lives when they are diagnosed with a terminal illness. They start to value every minute of life and that is my opinion about life. We should all start to value life, real life and not artificial life. Kindness is an anchor as strong as the mountains.
Everyone faces a struggle of one kind or another and kindness to all is like a balm to the soul.
Just my own thoughts here.
And That's All Friends.
