True musical alchemy, a deep-rooted connection to the Earth and an avalanche of heart energy transmuted into sound is what makes Kalya Scintilla so special to me. But it is much more than that. This music is an enabler of our own human awareness, can take us away from the superficial normality and help us find our inner center again by just letting go. Music that breathes. Music that captures the odd inner sensations of the human experience and expresses them within the grand, ever-changing environment of the divinely infused existence we call life on Earth.
If none of that means anything to you that is fine. All the more reason you give Kayla Scintilla's latest release a listen and let the music take you places!
Music produced and recorded in 432 Hz and pure tonal temperament that hardly exists out there these days. A cosmic hint at what is possible if we free ourselves from the shackles of mandated norms in the music industry and society at large, and walking our own creative path instead. Bringing back the tree, the elements and the life as it expresses itself in endless variety on Earth - put into sound. I am not exaggerating.
But what's more, this is not "merely" the latest album - there is a marvelous live recording of the Australian from his own studio playing his latest creations and sharing them with all the world. If you have ever produced a track on a computer or tweaked knobs on a synthesizer, then experiencing one of humanity's true sonic masters of our age from his own mancave will leave a mark on you. It emboldens us to go after becoming better than we were yesterday! Skill and craft.
And even if you "just" want to listen and the spaceship atmosphere of the elaborate studio turns you off: all by itself the music is nothing short of a shamanic journey; enabling us to bring back something that we have forgotten about in our largely artifical and busy daily lives.
If you have never heard of Kalya Scintilla, just the first track alone will tell you what this is about. Close your eyes, put on your best headphones and breathe deep. The rest will happen on its own, like it should. You are in good hands and will be landed safely.
Needless to say if you are fond of psychedelics - yes that explicitly includes cannabis - this music can really teleport you in ways most people would not think possible. It is psychedelic music, but as opposed to much of the psychedelic music scene these days - it has not forgotten about the heart so central to a real sonic experience. Especially with heightened senses.
The heart, its energy and hunger for truth and beauty in life is central to Kalya Scintilla's music and this is why I will be forever grateful that we still have real artists on Earth in these strange times. Enough said!
Please do enjoy, and let me know what happened yeah? ;)
