My procrastination level, although with some improvements, is still incredibly high. My last vacations were in September, and I still haven't finished going through all the photos! Guess is one of the not-so-good features of digital photography: you go on vacations, you photograph every decent looking thing a gazillion times, and end up with a thousand + photos to review.
Seeing it on the bright side, there's a much better chance of actually getting decent photos. And reviewing photos also means remembering how cool were your vacation days! I this case, although it wasn't my travel main goal, I found myself drooling over the cool croatian beaches.
I wasn't expecting to find the water that crystal clear. Nor the insane amount of diving spots. In Portugal, basically all our beaches are sandy beaches. Not the case here, where most of are rocky. The cool thing is, there seems to be a lot more "beaches": you have a spot in the see where you can jump and swim? There you go, it's a beach: jump right in!
They do have the "proper" beaches, with a strip of little pebbles and some beach support.
And with a view for all kinds of tastes, too: being as this one above, facing nature and the mountains of the mainland; or like this one below, with a privileged view over one of coolest cities I've visited, Dubrovnik!
Speaking of beaches facing Dubrovnik, St. Joseph's beach is probably the best one to enjoy the sunset over the city. You have to walk a little bit, but it's not that far off and the view is worth it.
Whatever the chosen view, the blue and clear water is warranted, in the adriatic sea.
Why am I thinking of beaches now? Well, because it seems there might be a possibility of doing another week of vacations this year; and it will probably include warm weather... and beaches, the white sandy type. And I'll make sure to share them with you too! 😉
