Another day in the Hospital Regional do Vale do Jaguaribe here in Limoeiro do Norte, State of Ceará in Brazil.
Early in the morning I received a visit from the doctor on duty explaining that the heart committee meeting scheduled for next Thursday was going to be brought forward to today at 3:30 pm.
After lunch time during the visit, which is between 2 and 3 pm, I received a visit from the notary from the Limoeiro do Norte registry office with the purpose of providing a power of attorney to guarantee everything necessary during the period of my hospitalization.
At 3 pm they came to do an electrocardiogram here in the ward and the result was normal.
At 5:30 pm the meeting of the heart committee began, made up of cardiologists, a surgeon, and the doctors who were responsible for evaluating my case.
At 8 pm the doctor on duty informed me that after evaluating my case, it was decided to transfer me to the Praxis Institute in Fortaleza in the next few days to undergo heart surgery. Saphenous bypasses and a fistula correction will be performed.
Recebi de manhã cedo a visita do médico plantonista explicando que a reunião do comité do coração prevista para próxima quinta feira ia ser antecipada para hoje ás 15,30.
Após a hora do almoço no horário da visita que é entre as 14 e as 15 horas recebi a visita do tabelião do cartório de Limoeiro do Norte com a finalidade de providenciar uma procuração para garantir tudo o que for necessário durante o período do meu internamento.
Pelas 15 horas vieram fazer um eletrocardiograma aqui na enfermaria e o resultado foi normal.
As 17,30 começou a reunião do comité do coração composto por médicos cardiologistas, cirurgião, e os médicos que fizeram o caraterismo para avaliar o meu caso.
Pelas 20 horas o médico plantonista me comunicou que depois de avaliado o meu caso foi decidido ser efetuada a transferência para o Instituto Praxis em Fortaleza nos próximos dias para ser feita a cirurgia ao coração.
Vão ser feitas Pontes de Safena e uma correção de uma fístula.
