The gods -or at least the god of light- were benevolent with this player in a Weekend Ranked that, although it didn't start with the best look, ended in a pretty decent way thanks to a winning streak in the final stretch.

Unfortunately, the winning streak ended right in the last match of the WR. A defeat to close the curtain stopped me from keeping two Dread Epic packs. Although, in retrospect, 12 wins in Mythic (and the five packs that includes) is not bad at all.

The deck

To no one's surprise, my ever-faithful Zoo Light deck was my choice to face this WR, and probably will be for a long time, unless something really bad happens that makes me consider a god/archetype change.

The last few months I've played exclusively with Light variants, with “aggro” and “zoo” as my main choices, trying to get the best out of a couple of cards brought over from Dread Awakening.

The most important cards

Actually, this deck has no other essential card than Worship. This spell probably makes the domain of light the best aggro/zoo in the game.

Specifically, in this WR it gave me five wins, including a streak of three in a row against Zoo War decks.

Perhaps in another “post” I'll elaborate a bit on the immense utility this card represents, but for now I'll just say that it's the bane of every other Zoo, Atlanteans and Card Draw Magic and the like.

Results

As I mentioned in the first paragraph, this did not start off well. My first match ended with a resounding defeat, which was followed by a couple of wins and another loss.

The first positive streak came against the three Zoo Wars I mentioned above and, after that, it was a win/loss back and forth. Five wins in a row was enough to surpass the main goal of each WR (10 wins).

The presence of War archetypes predominated among my opponents. It is striking the fact that I did not face any Nature or Deception, and I only played against another Light on one occasion.

I think it's become customary to use the War Deck for the Weekend, it seems to be a good option for racking up as many wins as possible without too many complications. But you've achieved a great feat with Zoo Light, congratulations on the wins.
