The second Weekend Ranked in the "race" for the Tides of Fate packs is over, and the main feeling it left me with is that the competition is fierce. However, fortunately, in terms of performance and results this one was almost a carbon copy for me. Although a little late, this is the balance of my WR: I kept my streak of last week, with the same deck and, without shame or glory, ended my participation with nine wins, having started in Mythic..

In terms of results, the most relevant difference was that, in the following days, I took the time to play the necessary matches to add 30 wins and thus secure a regular pack (which translates into two more cards), to end up with a total of six in the bag.

The deck

This time I chose to use two decks.Mainly after a string of defeats with my always faithful aggro light, which in principle responded as it should, and between ups and downs I kept it for the first eight matches.

About this deck, again, the outstanding performance was taken by Madame Denholm To You, a creature that, after accumulating more than 100 games using it, I can say that for this archetype it is exceptional. This is also the case of Aggressive Superior, which was probably the creature with which I finished the most games. I never tire of confirming that it is the finisher that could have an aggro light. With a much higher impact on the table than its similar ones, even above Asterius, Glittering One.

However, due to the large number of different archetypes I faced, which resulted in some alarming defeats, I decided to finish my last 10 matches with a magic deck.

With this *midrange magic" (according to GUDecks' definition, although I think it qualifies better as a control deck) I saved my last matches and closed another WR with results that, although they are not exceptional, are enough for me for now. Plus I added 14 new ToF cards to my collection, even though none of them were a big deal.

Conclusions

This WR leaves me a bit worried, to tell the truth. After the first 18 matches, I started my quest for 30 wins. However, along the way I fell into one bad streak after another between several days and dropped to Auric Gold, where I remain at the time of this writing. None of my decks have had the desired response and I have already begun to seriously consider trying another archetype. My mission is to return to Mythic before the weekend.

Rewards

As I mentioned a couple of paragraphs back, in the packs there wasn't much in the way of goodies. Although I won four Fate and two Fate Super packs, the cards I got were modest to say the least. Still, I think it all adds up these days.

Solid packs and nice run!

However, due to the large number of different archetypes I faced, which resulted in some alarming defeats, I decided to finish my last 10 matches with a magic deck.

I am also doing this, whenever I am alarmed about my defeats I will take a break then I will look at my deck, and make some adjustments then I will play again.
