Last week, we played a story-based horror game, Resident Evil Village. It was the most recent Resident Evil game. When we look at the previous Resident Evil games, we see that they focus on a certain topic, a virus and mutated creatures...
We all know Resident Evil 7, Ethan Winters and his wife Mia Winters were trying to escape from death. After that, they moved to Europe, they had a baby there. We see suddenly Mia was shot, and Resident Evil 8 starts here... This game is very similar to 7 mechanically. We see the story is also connected to Resident Evil 7. Briefly, there are four lords to fight, to save our baby.
This game was different from first three games. They were horror based, while Village has more action. My favorite one is always Resident Evil 1 HD Remastered.
In Resident Evil Village, there were mysterious stuff and keys to open locked doors like in previous games, but ambiance was too bright and noisy, that doesn't scare me enough. Anyway, I liked places. There are gothic castles and houses, beautiful mountains and spooky trees. The puzzles are connected to each other and you find a clue about them easily.
I think, Resident Evil Village has very hard monsters like mini bosses, but the game gives enough ammo, at least in medium mode. Creatures were like supernatural things and I hate it. They don't look like they are mutated from a virus. While wandering around, they suddenly attack the player, like jump-scares. The most annoying thing was the final boss, it was very hard with limited source...
This game was like a vampire and a werewolf story. I mean, it was like more fantasy game than a science fiction horror game, but it was a good experience.
