Making Process
Step- I
First, I washed the carrots well and peeled them. Then I chopped the carrots into small pieces. While chopping them, I realized that the carrots were raw. It is very difficult to chop the more mature ones, but this problem does not arise with raw carrots. If you want, you can grate it with the help of a grater.
Step-II
Then in a pan, boil the grated carrots and a little water on low heat. You must boil them on low heat. I have added less water here because it does not take long to boil grated carrots. I poured a little water in the pan and covered it with a lid. Then boil it for 8 to 10 minutes.
Step-III
After that, I poured the boiled carrots into a perforated container so that the water could drain. I also waited for some time so that the boiled carrots came to room temperature. In the next step, I will blend the carrots so its temperature needs to be brought to room temperature.
Step- IV
In this step, I blended the boiled carrots with the help of a blender. This step is the easiest and takes less time. After blending, I store it in a separate container. While blending, try not to use excess water because if you use excess water, the paste becomes too liquid.
Step-V
In this step I have used sugar. The amount of sugar depends on your preference. If you like sweeter food, you can increase the amount of sugar. Since I like less sugar, I have added a little bit of sugar here. Here I have added more than half a cup of sugar.
Step- VI
Then I heated a pan and added one teaspoon of liquid butter or ghee. Later I will use one more teaspoon of ghee but not all at once. Then I also poured in the carrot paste. I used bay leaves to add flavour. Then I stirred the paste continuously.
Step- VII
Finally, I added another tablespoon of ghee and two cardamoms for flavour. After adding these, I stirred them for another five minutes. When the carrot paste thickened and changed colour to dark brown, I turned off the heat.
Step- VIII
I waited for a while and then shaped them into small balls with my hands. This was a difficult task because my palms felt slightly warm while making the balls. When the balls were ready, I sprinkled some powdered milk on top for decoration, which made it more attractive. Adding powdered milk will enhance the taste and add a new flavour.
