The weekday's hustle and bustle is kind of on pause for me every Saturday. It's a weekend and I don't go to work and my bed becomes more inviting and tempting. I indulge in sleeping in late, yes I do! There are so many reasons I prefer sleeping in late on weekends or having a late morning.
First, I need that extra rest on a weekend because throughout the week I have been constantly on the go with my 9 to 5 job. The weekdays are often filled with various activities, tasks, and commitments. I don't like neglecting my body after all the stress of the week. My body deserves that much-deserved break. Sleeping in gives me that extra hour to relax and get myself before going out to have fun on a weekend like maybe swimming and recreational activities.

There is this joy I feel not setting an alarm when am about to sleep on a weekend. It gives me comfort that I can do things slowly at my own pace without having to hear an alarm in the morning. I can just lay on the bed having a me-time. It's refreshing having to put my needs over the daily bustles of life.
Sleeping in helps refresh the mind and soul, boosts the immune system, and reduces stress. Contributing to the overall well-being and getting us set for the weekdays ahead. We all have different commitments on weekends and some might not be opportune to have that relaxation they need. Anytime there's an opportunity we shouldn't hesitate to relax and reduce stress though we all have our different ways of unwinding
Though I love sleeping in, I do it in moderation because I just need that extra hour in the morning to feel refreshed. Too much sleeping tampers with my sleeping cycle. To those busy bees on a weekend always create time and do what you love to recharge. Cheers to us who love sleeping in to recharge.
Have a lovely weekend!
