Making Paper DIY dress for myself

in #hive-189641yesterday

Hello, beloved!

This morning I had in mind to make a DIY dress, top, and skirt. First, I thought of how I was going to measure myself; there was no measuring tape. I had an alternative of using my black polo top and placing it on the cardboard to take measurements. I had the picture of how I wanted it to be in my mind. Displacing the picture on the cardboard was as if it would be difficult but I did it successfully.

Steps

I put out my colored cardboard on the floor. Then, I placed my black polo on the floor and used a pencil to take my measurements by drawing lines, following the lines of the cloth placed.

After I had finished taking the measurements, I carried out the cloth and only the pencil lines were seen. I used my scissors to cut it using the pencil lines drawn.

After using two pieces of cardboard to give me a shaping top. I placed another colored cardboard on the floor and put my black shorts to my measurements too.

Cutting everything out. In cardboard, I couldn't use thread and needle to sew the sides and the shoulder, so I decided to use gum to put the sides together and the shoulder, the same thing as the short.

However, the texture of cardboard is the same as the texture of a normal dress. The dress is soft and flexible while the texture of the cardboard is hard and the surface is smooth.

I tried putting but it was a bit difficult. I did it gently till it passed my neck and the hands. 😂😂😂

See how I wore it. Please don't laugh at but rate my performance 😂😂😂

Thank you for reading.
