Mindfulness and Self-discipline as tools for achieving success in life!

I'm thrilled for having this topic for this week and, amazingly, to be part of this contest. I like being mindful of myself and having control over my behavior and I put it into practice to see the outcome and the results of it. The practice of mindfulness and self-discipline are tools for progressive personal growth and development. Individuals who want to achieve success in life must be aware of these tools as it would help them to succeed and become what they intended to be.

Life doesn't work the way we think. Life is built with principles and following these principles would work for us. These principles work as ladders we can climb to reach our destination or achieve our goals.

What is Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the practice of being conscious of oneself or being aware of oneself at the moment without being judged. This practice brings about focus, concentration, and emotional stability with the benefits of relieving stress, and anxiety, fostering focus, and promoting more awareness. The practical aspect of mindfulness is that it involves meditating, leaving past experiences, and reflecting on your life for a better self.

What is Self-discipline

Self-discipline is another powerful tool for an individual to be able to control his or her behavior and emotions to achieve a particular goal. Self-discipline requires concentration, determination, setting boundaries, consistency, commitment, goal setting, and time management. These are obtainable before we can achieve particular goals we have crystallized.

Having taken a look at the two parameters for achieving success, they are closely related to the point, that mindfulness had to be the core element of driving self-discipline. Yes, mind first before other steps. Before you set your goals and boundaries, there must be something that came to your mind, that would help you to be on set for that particular thing. Therefore, mindfulness strengthens discipline by fostering awareness of self for achieving success. It helps the mind to be conscious of what we doing. What comes into our minds will be seen by what we do.

Like a graduate, I am. I have this mindset of making money without my certificate, this conscious that I need to be creative, responsive, or behave in a certain way that will tell the world that I was in school. Now, this thought has registered in my brain; my life will be moderated by my self-discipline, which will help me crystallize my dreams, align my goals, and work purposefully to achieve what I want. For instance, I woke up this morning doing my house chores, calculating my time, and putting things in place. In my mind, I have 3 posts to make, and it is ringing in my head while I am sweeping and bathing, so I had to hurry up so I could meet up with the time I have drawn. This is where self-discipline will come in. I will sit down and type and set boundaries so as not to invoke play while I am doing something serious. When mindfulness and self-discipline come together to play their roles, there will be satisfaction and fulfillment in my heart, and the results will be tangible.

Overall, mindfulness and self-discipline can help a man achieve his goals. Both are connected to achievement.
