Being self employed, the struggle is real!

“What about next year?”

It is a question I have asked myself 100000 times. If this year is going well, I am already worrying about next year or thr year after that. Even though I have been self employed for over 20 years and I have built myself a decent business that has a positive cashflow, a positive net worth and the owner of a piece of real estate that is paid off in a few years.

Necessary stress

There have been good years, better years and a few lesser years, but all in all the balance is quite positive. Still, I always worry about the next year or years. I am always worried that my income will dry up, and that we will have a significant drop in sales.
It is in my opinion inherent to the fact of being self employed. It comes with that kind of stress. Even more, that kind of stress is necessary to keep being successful at the job.

It is not the most fun part of the job, but the stress is part of it and I have gotten used to it. But it sometimes is a struggle to keep fighting against those worrying thoughts and turn them into productivity!

Keep on grinding!

Sincerely,

Learn to work with the feeling and channel it as a source to be more and more competitive in your field. It's good to have fear, it's better to use that fear to improve. Wherever you need more technology, business knowledge, financial knowledge, or make yourself more available to clients. Your fear should keep you in your toes.

I try to do that, works, but it is not simple to implement it at all times. We’re only human

Is about focus and knowledge
Google and AI already assist a lot of information

I think there are no weekends to be enjoyed when you are self employed.

That’s not true, it’s all about time management

Ohh!!

Okay its your life do what you think is necessary but what I've learned in my life is by worrying too much about the future, you do not do any good for the future but you definitely miss out on enjoying your present to the fullest.

I can totally understand, and it's why I'm just an employee, the uncertainty would give me way too much stress
